  1. I still love and miss Rex Grossman

Although Rex played poorly, my only argument here is that the Bears were already losing when he chucked the pick 6. It wasn't like we were up two touchdowns and he blew it. The defense was getting carved up because we couldn't get any pressure on Manning and he was just dink and dunking us.
  2. Breaking: Zeke signs

It's a huge contract, but the offense and passing game don't operate without him.
  3. ??? Which Chicago Bears Record Is Most Likely To Be Broken This Year??? ???

Passing yards and touchdowns. If Trubisky is healthy and plays all 16 games and the offense runs as expected, it's more than likely he breaks both records.
  4. *** CCS BEARS VS PACKERS HAT GIVEAWAY***

    Montgomery, 88 yards 52 points
  5. ***OFFICIAL*** IGT: Bears vs Titans Preseason Week Four (Just Bring On The Pack Already Edition)

The fourth preseason game is the worst. By halfway through the first quarter, the entire 3rd and 4th strings are in.
  6. ***OFFICIAL*** IGT: Bears vs Titans Preseason Week Four (Just Bring On The Pack Already Edition)

Hence why you don't see me posting in any of them. What position would CCS be in if I sprained my wrist or broke a finger typing a post in a pointless preseason thread and missed time in the regular season?
  7. If Trevathan and Daniels Were Injured Last Night.

It makes me appreciate Nagy's strategy of not playing any starters in the preseason even more. It's not going to be long until the entire NFL adopts it.
  8. Kickers likely to get cut who the Bears should keep in mind

I've never been able to understand how fantastic college kickers can be so awful in the NFL sometimes. Of all the positions, you'd think kicking field goals would be the most transferable ability, because nothing really changes from college to the pros.
  9. Bears have a backup QB problem...

Winman beat me to the punch. Most teams in the NFL are screwed if their starting QB goes down.
  10. ***OFFICIAL*** IGT Preseason Week Two: Bears @ Giants (Monty Burns Edition)

Doubt he will. I don’t think he played Trubisky in week 3 last season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trubisky doesn’t see the field for the rest of the preseason. He’ll MAYBE get a drive in week 3, and there’s absolutely no chance any starter will be out there week 4.
  11. ***OFFICIAL*** IGT Preseason Week Two: Bears @ Giants (Monty Burns Edition)

Announcers making it sound like the Giants just drove downfield to win the Super Bowl. You barely heard them mention the entire Bears second/third team defense was in on that drive.
  12. Matt Nagy ESPN Interview

I remember watching a clip about the 2006 season where Lance Briggs said all year, they used the 2005 Panthers postseason loss as motivation. Said that they walked off the field that night knowing they were the better team, but they hadn't played like it. Hopefully Nagy and the Bears treat the...
  13. F.O.: Lions Most Likely to Be Worst to First...

I don't really doubt him, I'm just expecting him to start declining soon because of his age. Peyton Manning threw 55 touchdowns in 2013 and then two years later, threw 9 touchdowns and 17 interceptions and every pass looked like a wounded duck.
  14. F.O.: Lions Most Likely to Be Worst to First...

Yup. Rivers is old and is ripe to hit the age wall. Broncos defense is legit but their offense isn't scaring anyone. Only way the Lions win the North is if the Bears, Vikes and Pack somehow all collapse.
  15. 2019 CCS Annual Pick 'Em League ... (Winner gets a PRIZE)

I'm in, had fun with it last year
  16. Practice - 8/14

    Urblock, do you job.
  17. If Harris, Brown, and Vasher had stayed healthy and motivated post 06, how would Smith’s Bears have gone afterwards?

If either one of them was healthy for the Super Bowl, the Bears probably win.
  18. OT: Glennon on Hard Knocks

He was never meant to be a starting caliber QB here. He was only meant to keep the seat warm so that Trubisky could sit and get up to speed. Problem was Glennon was so unfathomably worse than expected that Trubisky ended up getting thrown into the fray early.
  19. If Harris, Brown, and Vasher had stayed healthy and motivated post 06, how would Smith’s Bears have gone afterwards?

It would have helped, but the offensive side of the ball turned into such a mess that I'm not sure anything the defense did would have mattered much. Grossman never got it together and the Benson experiment failed miserably. Muhammad turned into a disgruntled veteran and Berrian never turned...
  20. Do The Bears Have the Best Front Seven In Football?

Last time they had the potential to be this dominant was 2006. That front 7 was Alex Brown, Tank Johnson, Tommie Harris, Adawaye Ogunleye, Hunter Hillenmeyer, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher. When they were fully healthy, they could basically snap their fingers and get pressure.
