  1. Poles Rejected The Haul! . . .

Obviously it all depends on whether Williams is as good as advertised. If he is, then the "haul" is forgotten history. If he struggles, then failure to negotiate a haul will be a massive mistake and the end of Poles.
  2. Poles had decided to trade massively up, but then the lottery win came

By prioritizing DBs and DTs in his drafts, Poles made it clear that he wasn't going to support Fields. Now he has done with Williams what he should have done with Fields. He has also bought himself three more years (for Williams to develop) even if Williams has a rocky start.
  3. Chop Robinson

If the Bears can find an outstanding pass rusher at 9, then pull the trigger asap. Remember who the MVP of the 85 Bears was? DE Richard Dent. He was a hidden gem and a lower round draft pick. GMs who can find great players in middle and lower rounds are a huge bonus for any team.
  4. Chop Robinson

Verse has been very productive, unlike Chop.
  5. Who Will Start 2024 Season At Qb?

Surely a Generational player can start right away and win.
  6. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

I think this year, including the free agents and the draft, will be decisive on grading Poles. I think he failed in not giving Fields offensive weapons, but obviously, everything depends on how Williams performs, and Poles has given Williams offensive skill players, .., so no excuses please.
  7. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

Exactly. Give him credit when its due, and blame when he messes up. .
  8. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

Why are people afraid to criticize Poles when its deserved?
  9. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

So it's not really Poles'fault? It's Justin Fields? Of course, that's the ticket..
  10. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

Velus Jones in the third round?
  11. Bears Have the SIXTH Best WR Trio in the NFL.

Glad to see Poles is supporting Williams with offensive skill players. He does not deserve any credit for failing to do it with Fields---which should have been his first priority.
  12. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

Beaause the other team could jump ahead of the Jet's pick by trading for the Bears pick.
  13. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

If the Bears opt for a DE over a WR at pick 9, there is a good possibility of trading down with Denver at 12 or Vegas at 13 if there is a QB or other player they want to move up for. One or more of the three elite DEs should be available at 12 or 13. It would probably give the Bears an...
  14. OT: Diggs to the Texans

Isn't it possible to set aside a permanent thread for posters who just want to argue endlessly with the same poster over and over and over and over again? It would sure improve this message board.
  15. Pudge Poles on Fire! . . .

One of the losses was Justin Jones, their best interior D lineman. Doesn't seem like progress.
  16. With the 9th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bears select...

Bears were LAST in the NFL in sacks. There are really only three elite pass rushers (Verse, Turner, and Latu). Chop Robinson had only 5 and 4 sacks in the last two years and barely tackled anybody and is maybe a third round prospect--although he is getting undeserved hype. So pick one of the...
  17. Caleb williams struggle vs Fields Struggle video updated topic

The one big thing Caleb has to fix is his fumbles: over 30 in his collge career.
  18. Who are the mocks wrong on?

Chop had only four sacks last year. Production counts more than testing in gym shorts.
  19. 2024 NFL Draft discussion

WR class is much deeper than edge/DE, so a very good WR will be available in the 3rd round. No such luck with DEs.
