He's not half of Shohei / Tatis or Vlad. That's the problem.

I know but wouldn’t it be fun to have a huge home grown talent on the team? Harper was good. Trout probably was the best till Shohei / Tatis / Vlad came around. Bryant was great but the team needed more then him or Javy as a building block.

I just don't understand why people want the team to contend so fast. Why not tank for years to come to see if we could draft the next Trout / Harper?

I agree with most of what you said but does this team even have a Devers to build upon. Davis maybe that piece but how many years away is he?

Tank for 4-5 years to collect prospects. No more half assing things. Should have left Darvish if you wanted to contend. Should have traded the whole team if you didn't want to contend.

Guys don't forget that JED was the one who traded away Darvish and could not resign Nick.

This lineup you posted does not look good compared to other teams dude. STL should be a better then they are now and the Brew Crew will be good for a while as well with their pitching. I also think that going half way into anything isn't a good either in a sense of draft picks.

Will Jed be around to see that though. This team could tank for quite a while dude.

I agree but wonder why don't they don't sell off the whole team. It looks like Shelby Miller is a swap candidate so why not Zach Davies. Why not Rizzo or anyone with little control? Seems like we can't even have Lester back at this point so why keep any of the former Champs around?
