OT: Mac Jones going at 3?

FWIW......the current betting favorite for 3rd pick is Jones Fields + Lance are tied for 2nd, behind Jones

OT: Mac Jones going at 3?

I recently read an article that supports this. “...... NFL personnel executives, according to the 538 article, overvalue the top 50 picks in the draft because they feel that the closer they are to #1, the better chance they have of hitting a home run. They are right about the relationship —...

OT: Mac Jones going at 3?

Yeah we may have got punked by the Saints in the first round of the playoffs, but at least we showed the Jags who’s the Boss! 41-17 woohoo!

Dalton Not Deserving of the Hate? Breaking Down QB Andy Dalton

Yeah Dalton is a serviceable QB, but he’s not gonna take a team to the Promised Land. If Pace did his job as well as Dalton does his......then we wouldn’t have Dalton as QB1.

    17 games?

Yeah. A fish rots from the head down. I still maintain some hope, because even mediocre organizations occasionally get lucky finding talent, and have success.

    17 games?

. Oh you’re not old enough to remember 85 Bears? It was so great. I was a bit too young to remember the 63 Bears championship, so I was a frustrated fan of mediocre teams for a couple of decades. Then, in 1985, it all came together. The team was loaded with talent, and many were...

    Top QBs drafted 2000-2020

Well observed. I will be disappointed if Bears don’t get a QB in this draft.

    17 games?

That’s not the point. It’s gotta be frustrating to Packer backers to get all that good QB play, and only 2 rings to show for it. In line with that........I, for one, was disappointed that the 80s Bears only won the SB once. At the time, it seemed they were destined to win multiple times.

SB odds drop after Dalton signing

Probably, if they meet in the NFC Championship game. Rodgers is 1-3 in those games.

    17 games?

Wow they had 2 HoF QBs who had 14 total seasons with 4000+ passing yards, but only 2 SB wins to show for it.

Wait what? I honestly did not know how bad it’s been

Bears should claim Brandon Marshall’s yards

    Top QBs drafted 2000-2020

No prob. I did it to get some perspective on this years draft, thought I’d share it. I never noticed, until now, that from the 2012 draft the #1 pick is out of the league, while the #75 and #88 picks have won the SB.

    Top QBs drafted 2000-2020

Here’s a list of the top QBs drafted in the past 20 years. It’ll be interesting to (eventually) see how this draft compares to others. 2000 018 Chad Pennington 065 Giovanni Carmazzi 075 Chris Redman 163 Tee Martin 168 Marc Bulger 183 Spergon Wynn 199 Tom Brady 2001 001 Michael Vick 032 Drew...

SB odds drop after Dalton signing

Seems that the # is now moving up According to RJ Bell on Straight Outta Vegas, Bears/Seahawks deal isn’t dead yet I don’t see it happening, but it’s still possible, I suppose

Louis Riddick Tweet About QB's in General

Yeah less-mobile QBs need a little more time to acclimate to the speed of the NFL because they can’t run to buy time, while deciding who they’re gonna throw to. If you sit a rookie QB for a year, giving them a chance to adjust to the speed of the game, it can pay off in bigger dividends, down...

Are the Bears the worst big market franchise in professional sports?

Good article, worth reading, but it leaves out a key turning point in Bears history. Mugs Halas died of a heart attack, age 54, in 1979. So, when George Halas died in 1983, the team went to his daughter. Things might’ve been a lot different if Mugs had inherited the team.
