  1. The 1 player you don’t want at #9…

I wouldn’t even draft him in the first round. The injury risk isn’t worth it to me. Back injuries always lead to a mountain of other issues.
  2. The 1 player you don’t want at #9…

Laiatu Latu. Neck/back injuries are a big no no when drafting in the top 10. Brock Bowers would be second. Not because I think he’s a bad player though. I actually like him a lot. Mainly because the Bears already have a lot of money committed to tight ends. Plus, Allen, Everett, & to a less...
  3. What would you give to trade up for MHJ

That’s the price to trade up for a QB. Maybe he falls to LAC, making the price to move up a little more affordable.
  4. What would you give to trade up for MHJ

Poles spent over $60M on 2 tight ends the last 2 years. There are a number of other players that COULD be the next “insert HOF type player”. Why not use the pick to fill actual holes on the roster?
  5. What would you give to trade up for MHJ

With Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett both being locked up on reasonable contracts, I’m not sure drafting Brock Bowers is the best use of a top 10 pick with so many other more pressing needs. I don’t really know anything about all that other stuff.
  6. What would you give to trade up for MHJ

I’d consider drafting Brock Bowers only if the Bears were to trade down a couple spots. The Bears already have plenty of resources committed to Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett.
  7. What would you give to trade up for MHJ

MHJ, Nabers, & Odunze could all be drafted before the Bears pick at 9. Since the Bears have two 2nds in 2025 (thanks CAR), they could certainly deal a 2025 1st without it being massively detrimental to the team. I wouldn’t be upset if they made that deal, but I do think there is enough talent...
  8. Who are the true Blue Chip prospects in this draft?

Tier 1 Caleb Williams Marvin Harrison Jr. Joe Alt Tier 2 JC Latham Jared Verse Dallas Turner Malik Nabers Brock Bowers Rome Odunze Byron Murphy Brian Thomas Jr. Taliese Fuaga Tier 3 Olu Fashanu Terrion Arnold Laiatu Latu (undraftable - injury history ) Quinyon Mitchell Adonai Mitchell...
  9. Who are the mocks wrong on?

I think it’s JJ McCarthy. There are some projecting him to be a top four pick, which I think is CRAZY when a team doesn’t need to move a ton of draft capital for other options like Penix Jr. and Bo Nix. Last year, Will Levis was projected to be a top pick in the first round, and he fell to...
  10. With FA behind us, it's time for mocks.

As much as I love the WRs that are in this draft, I agree with Harbough, the offensive line is the most important position group. Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, & Gerald Everett is plenty of firepower. Plus, Tyler Scott got a bunch of experience last year, so he could develop into another...
  11. Is Anyone Else Tired of RG3?

I don’t know why he’s assuming that Matt Eberflus is on the hot seat. Poles has backed him every step of the way.
  12. A message from Olin

I’d be fine if the Bears traded down and drafted offensive line. I’ve wanted the Bears to draft JC Latham for a while now. Jenkins health is still a big question mark and Nate Davis might be playing his last year in Chicago. Kick JC inside next to Wright and have a dominant right side for the...
  13. At pick 9

As much as it pains me to say (because I love the WRs that may be available), a DE opposite of Sweat is more important than a WR3. The Bears have a legitimate chance to draft the best offensive and defensive players in the same draft. We saw how that worked out for the Texans last year.
  14. What dopey nickname will you bequeath Caleb Williams?

    Dub-Zero (assuming he takes #0)
  15. FREE AGENCY NO NEWS THREAD

Are the Bears projected to receive any compensatory draft picks in 2025? I thought I read something that said they were in line to get a 4th, but I can’t find anything.
  16. #9 pick choice?

Agreed, but it might be 1-2 years too early to draft a WR - assuming Keenan Allen gets extended for a couple years. There just won’t be enough targets available for DJ, Allen, Swift, (insert drafted WR), Kmet, & Everett. I suppose that’s not the worst problem to have.
  17. #9 pick choice?

I voted for Rome Odunze, but I’d actually prefer Brian Thomas Jr., because he’s a better fit next to DJ & Allen. He has the size and speed (4.3) to stretch the defense. He has a smaller route tree than Odunze, but that doesn’t matter as much with him as a WR3. You could argue that having 3...
  18. Resetting the QB Clock

While I understand KJ’s point about there not being a QB on a rookie deal to win a Super Bowl, I can’t remember a 7-10 team ever owning the first pick either. Again, I’m not trying to have a debate between Justin Fields and Caleb Williams. This is strictly on how FA spending relates to the...
  19. Resetting the QB Clock

One of the main talking points within the Justin Fields – Caleb Williams debate was the idea of resetting the quarterback contract clock. By resetting the clock, the Bears could delay spending $40M+ annually at quarterback, allowing the Bears to spend that money elsewhere on the roster. I...
  20. Maybe Poles isn't that serious about trading Fields

It's not that he isn't serious about trading Fields, he just hasn't made his mind up yet. Ryan Poles acknowledged it takes a certain type of person to play QB in Chicago, and until he's had the opportunity to work Caleb Williams out and makes sure he checks out medically, he isn't going to move...
