Greeny show on Bears and NFC North

Rookie QB and new O system wouldn't have you think the last place Bears will instantly rule the North. The D had a hot streak at the end of the year but will it continue? I'd like the DL improved so the O might have better field position etc. We did get a lot of that towards the end of last year...

My thoughts on the draft: Round 1

If you look at the height score disparity, you'll notice the lower score is for G and the RAS I created from available data is for C where, as i stated, height isn't as much of an attribute.

So the big gurus with Latham going ahead of Alt

It's draft day. Leaks are as often misdirection as they are real.

My thoughts on the draft: Round 1

His measured height score and lack of speed/agility testing to raise the mean brings that score down. If he's got the arm length (he does) the height is not an issue at C. Nice for a relatively shorter QB to have a better view and 6'3" is not a concern. He didn't run at the combine as he had a...

    Murphy now favorite at #9

Could be but we also know that Poles' doesn't go with any consensus and his board will be quite different for the prognosticators.

My thoughts on the draft: Round 1

There's the same # of DTs making over $20m a year as there are Ts. Obviously more QBs and a few more WRs. That's it. The league values top DTs quite a bit. The issue is whether or not a guy is 'TOP'. Other than that, I can't disagree and the fact that all three options are somewhat viable...

and the Bear may not get/select either. Bad enough we know who'd #1. This will keep it interesting.

1st, a 7th round pick is not truly draft capital. It's spinning a roulette wheel. 2nd, if they see him as BPA at the most important position on this D, it's fine. We don't have an excess of quality DL.

    Are there any Haul Holdouts?

Not really. It was more about 'defining your terms' and the same old blame anyone but JF. Lets see who has a better career. Thread is about the haul holdouts. If you don't like the topic, why are you guys here? Mooney could certainly have had a better year but he did not cause JF's issues...

    Are there any Haul Holdouts?

I was his biggest fan until the writing was on the wall. 3rd year is where it's time to fish or cut bait. I'm just willing to face reality. Same with Mitch. Mitch is done but JF still has a shot at overall success. It was just obvious he wasn't throwing to Mooney when Darnell split seams. If he...

I've been on Murphy for a while but those odds also have to do with probability of availability so not just about preferred. Murphy is a great fit for Flus. The best argument against was that Flus likes bigger 3s but I suspect that has more to do with what he had than some requirement. Tomorrow...

Hit Rate on 1st Round Picks

Agreed but it's been more emphasized in the college game as well. Drafts have become deeper at WR.

Hit Rate on 1st Round Picks

It has but and anyone we draft will hopefully benefit from a new QB but they also tend to flake and it's been a shortish trend. That said. the position has elevated with the current college game. Means that misses should be fewer but it also means the position is deeper. It's a position where...

    Are there any Haul Holdouts?

The others were not starters and RBs that don't catch much aren't a QB association though I'd much sooner give them that association than remove it from a full time starting WR. I have not moved the goal posts. Those were set by 70 and you decided to move them to suit your bias. Asshole is...

Hit Rate on 1st Round Picks

It's why I get wary of 1st round WRs. It would be hard to pass on the top 3 but I could see a trade down and taking a shot at one later. It's also why I wouldn't trade up for one early.
