In watching mostly the Jax game, Lawrence is playing pretty well. He has not been helped out by his offensive teammates/coaching much. A lot of penalties, including at least 2, maybe 3 for lining up wrong. They had to burn 2 time-outs in the 1st quarter - one to save Lawrence from getting killed in a blitz that they had no protection set-up correctly to pick it up. Several good plays, including in the run game called back for holds. Just not a lot of rhythm in their offense.

Despite all that, Lawrence, for the most part, has made quick decisions and good throws. The INT was just him trying to do too much and missed on the placement as he threw back a bit right while scrambling to his left.

Russell Wilson always starts the season off superhuman, and then slowly declines back to relative normalcy in the 2nd half of the season.
Except for when he is in the Super Bowl lol srsly?

I really hope this isn't a precursor to a "The Bears should have kept Lovie" kneejerk hot take
I haven’t seen the highlights but I assume if lovie’s D could get an interception Lawrence must’ve missed his receiver by at least 10 yards

Never blessed with much protection, the beatings do have a cumulative effect.

The halftime show on CBS already mentioned Russell Wilson and MVP in the same sentence after 1/2 of one game just as they did last year

haha from what i remember they were usually pretty good vs rooks. The Rus Wilson and Matt Ryan games were really bad though.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I am enjoying watching SF thoroughly dominate Detoilet. Even though it does seem they have found a decent TE.
Goff with a pick 6 to end the half....lol

Holy crap. If that is true, then they are delusional. With everything going on right now, any offer of 3 1st round picks should have been immediately taken before the other team came to their senses.
Yeah thats an insane haul considering his off the field accusations. I didnt read it but id love to know who offered.

Texans figured to struggle without Watson. They're not.

Eh, a couple of things: 1) It's against Jax and the game is in Houston. 2) It's week 1.

But overall, yes, they are playing better than expected so far.
