Hawks looked great early, but blew a nice lead in the 2nd. Let's see what they can do in the 3rd!

-Toews is having a big game woth a goal and 2 assists
-Sikura has been un noticable
-Nice deflection by Kubalik! (He has also missed the net a few more times)

Not looking great 3 minutes into the 3rd!

The entire PK owes Lehner for that one!

We lack aggression on the PK and Forecheck. We constantly look tired maybe we should work on conditioning

That's a bad loss. They completely fell apart after the 1st

They are lucky to salvage a point. After the 1st period it was all Coyotes.

Hawks out shot 47-29 with grade A chances for visitors

Toews is shit, stupid penalties, stupid unaware in passing causes turn overs and a shit effort on his first SO try, fck him he needs to be traded for draft picks and Mr. shrink dick in shoot outs Robin Lehner ..well he can't stop pucks in any shoot out opportunities..up 3-1 and the sad sacks can't hold a lead and stay in an attack mindset..oh and Fck their pussy soft coach Jeremy Colonton too. Blackhawks have turned into bottom of the barrel garbage..Stan Blowman should be fckng fired for destroying this franchise instead of building it up, coach Q was not the problem..

I agree Bowman needs to be canned for the Head coaching move. Here he has a roster whose veteran core has been in the league for 10 years and he brings in an inexperienced 1st year head coach, LOL

Couldn't agree more. He acts like this kid is some kind of liability when the reality is that he's playing about half a dozen guys who truly are liabilities.

Maybe, but lack of skating speed can make it look that way. For the most part, I think the effort is there but this is a mediocre hockey team.....you won't get much more than they are giving when they play against better talent.

Sikura was noticable in the third, had plenty of speed, rushed down to negate two icings but got neither call. He reminds me of when Vinnie was here, no d man could ever hit him with a pass in stride, but you always see Dylans passes going to the tape of the skater, not feet. The unnoticable one was Nylander again, still on the PP. Its time to move on.

Just accept the point if the game goes to shootout. Its hard to believe two guys like Kane and Toews on your roster and you cant have them put a few pucks in his glove at practice each day to get his confidence up for the shootouts. Lenhar is definitely focused on hands not the puck on these attempts since he lunges at first move.

Thing is Lehner saw 47 shots in the game not including shootouts.

This game ain't on Lehner.

it's a mediocre team due to years of drafting in the bottom tier due to their success. Realistic Blackhawks fans had to have known the 3 cup run was eventually going to end.

Look at the other "championship" Chicago teams.....

-1985 Bears, stacked full of hall of famers playing in an era with no salary cap or free agency. ONE and DONE
-2016 Cubs, ONE and DONE.
-Chicago Bulls, they have been picking top 10 drafts for what seems like eternity and they still suck again this year.
-Chicago Bears present. It looked like they had something going from last season but that team was ONE and DONE in the playoffs and looks more than likely they won't even make the playoffs this year.

Am sure the "better talented" Arizona Coyotes would gladly trade their hot start this year for 3 cups in return, lol

It is what it is

Well last week I was instructed that shots on goal are not that big of a deal, its just a bunch of mediocre players, in this case, a bunch of players the hawks gave up on like Schmaltz leading that team in points and a guy like Oesterle picking Kanes pocket and Vinnie getting a couple shots a game at the net playing on the plus side creating havoc with his speed.
Sounds like more of bad decisions on the GM side than not having players that could perform since they are a big part in leading the pacific.

You can stack the pads falling out of position and have the guy shoot it in your glove 1 time out of 100

I mean, shots on goal are not supposed to be a big deal, right? Coyotes got 47 thru, the hawks got, what 29? Their goalie won with a .896 save percentage lol.

There are a lot more reason this team is mediocre than just drafting low lol. Other player personal decisions which have had nothing to do with the draft have been overall bad.

Sure winning Cups in the cap era has a price. But the team didn’t have to become this bad. Just look at how The Pens have have figured out a way to stay at least stay competitive over the last decade and they have just as many Cup wins as the Hawks do over the last 10 years.

They are making the most of Crosby - Malkin while the Hawks are simply wasting years of Toews - Kane.
