I'd like to see them win 9 more just so they don't lose 100, but if they didn't win another game, what does it matter? Some weird record about longest losing streak? Big deal. There are no style points once you're eliminated.

Remember folks. The rest of the year is to give the kids some experience and find out how they perform in ML setting. That's all. Unless you completely naive, you should not expect much wins for the rest of this season and first part of the next.

It's amazing how stupid some fans are......what in the hell good does it do to win meaningless games now? What they did at the deadline was a year too late to begin with.

I think we can all pretty much admit the 2019 offseason if when the blow up should have happened. I just think that Covid, not good partial seasons, and uncertainty kept them for selling off in 2020.

At least they only lost a half game in “the chase for #5” because the Nationals won tonight.

Cubs should lose today. They are sending a AAAA pitcher in.

Whelp might as put our feet up and see what these cast offs can do with playing time.

Wisdom then Ortega. Schwindel and now Hermosillo.

Sadly this team might have a better fWAR then what left.

Weird year.

I stand corrected. That's what happens when in the hurry and actually not reading the whole comment. My bad.

Gordon Wittenmyer

@GDubCub

Ross said Plan A for Saturday is for Keegan Thompson to make his next start for the short-handed Cubs rotation. He threw 62 pitches in his last start Sunday at Iowa, where he has been stretching out for rotation audition down the stretch.
