Who do you want to play the most/least between Philly, Milwaukee, and New York?

For me, from most to least.

1. Milwaukee - Don't see them being much of a problem at all. Maybe they win one game, but I think we would win most of them by 10+ points.

2. Philly - Early in the season they were the team I would want to play the least, but since they have been dropping like a stone in the standings, I'll put them at 2nd.

For whatever reason they seem to match up against us the best and always give us trouble because of the tough defense they play. I think we would win in 5 or 6 games. Even if we beat them in 5 they would play so physical it would seem like a 7 game series and we might be worn down by the second round.

3. New York - Everyone likes to act like they suck because of their underachieving record and say they can't play defense. Well, that was under D'antoni.

I said a while ago the biggest problem for them was the coach and he needed to be fired. So, for all the people that said they will never be able to play defense, guess what? Since D'antoni got fired they have been one of the top 2 defensive teams in the NBA.

Maybe we beat them in 5, maybe we beat them in 7. Who knows? But I guarantee, with the talent they have, if they get hot they could easily beat us in a series. So, pray that we play them in the first round at your own risk.

It would probably be one of the most exciting series though.

I agree with you. I would wanna play MIL over PHI and NY easily.

But they're not gonna make it.

Philly has been in a downward spiral in the second half of the season. I'd rather wanna play them.

Also, you could potentially throw Orlando in there. It has just been reported that Howard has a herniated disc and they don't know much time he's gonna miss.

LoL, they may drop all the way down to 8th.

That would be an ideal 1st round for the Bulls.
We would sweep a Howardless Magic team.
We may even be able to rest our starters more for the second round.

The knicks can't beat us in a 7 game series for no reason. Maybe if they have as much luck as they had in the game we lost they can beat us once or maybe twice. But nothing more. We were leading in every game by 10+ points 2 minutes before the final whistle. You will say it was regular season games. Fine. But I can't see how they can eliminate us. Of course they are in a good rhythm right now. Of course you don't want to play against a team with a good rhythm and of course if they keep playing like this they won't finish 8th so there is nothing to be scared of. We will play against the WORST team among the playoff teams.

PS. Theoretically every team can beat is if they get hot.

Same. But with Howard, there would be little to no chance they slip to the 8th seed.

It's more likely they fall to the 7th seed... which sucks because that could mean Miami would have a cupcake first round match-up.

Maybe David Stern told Howard to stand down so the Heat get a break.
I'm pretty sure he has the refs trained to carry the Heat to the ECon finals as well.
We all know Sterns a Heat fan.

With or without Howard Utah will beat the Magic. They are trying to make the playoffs.

My predictions:

Orlando 2-5
Knicks 4-3
76ers 5-2
Bucks 5-2

6. 76ers 36 - 30
7. Orlando 36 - 30
8. Knicks 35 - 31
9. Bucks 34 - 32

But if the Knicks are better than I think and they win one or two more games they won't get the 8th seed.

Why?? Miami has dominated Philly for the last two years now. It's not going to be any different this time around. New York has a lot more upside than Philly and they are actually hot right now while Philly is ice cold.

Ok...and...ummmmmmmmm...these replies are all good and well, but they don't really answer my question.

Rami made a list of 5 teams. Sure, I asked which of the 3 teams I listed in my original post, but atleast he was in the ballpark. And I guess mathematically the other 2 teams he listed could be our 1st round opponents so I'll accept it.

Now it's everybody else's turn.

Fukk the first round.. what I'm concerned about is the 2nd round having to face Boston while Miami gets Indiana... Heat catching a big break there...

If the 6ers play the way they are playing now then:

1.Philly
2.Bucks
3.Knicks
4.Orlando

If they start playing in the level they were playing in the first round then:

1.Bucks
2.Knicks
3.Orlando

I don't want to face a banger team in the first round. Miami and the Bulls should win whatever 1st rd series, so I'd rather see them bruised.
