I know it's a Cubs board, but I saw this in a FB group and a lot of Sox fans think their team blows the Cubs out because of their playoff run. Personally, I think the Cubs were far superior, but I'm biased. The White Sox offense was middling at best, and their defense cannot compare to the 2016 Cubs squad. So what do you guys think? 11-1 in the postseason trump everything that happened? Curious at others logical thoughts/arguments.

Sox fans better talk up 2005. They won all three of their post season series that year.....other than those 3 series, they haven't won a post season series of any kind since 1917.

Damn. I knew that franchise was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad.

Well, I gotta say cubs roster was better. Cubs hit better and pitched better. Plus, we know that 2016 cubs defense was on another level

I struggle to see where the white Sox would have an advantage at

Same. The Cubs are better in every metric. I can't get any argument for why the Sox are better other than their postseason run. And now some guy wants me to bet the Cubs don't win the WS this year lol,

Sox did nothing before and after 2005, showing it was a fluke year. The Cubs had 4 straight NLCS appearances.
