Mack/hicks/Jackson....then there’s debate after that. 4th is either fuller or Goldman. I have fuller by a hair but it’s close.

Fuller was far more impactful. Not even debatable.

All in all an amazing group. After the first five I'd say it's pretty debatable. Amos would probably be top 5 or 6 on most teams and he's a solid top 10 SS in the league, yet he's probably 8 at best in this group.

Is there already a call out thread for people who said Goldman was a wasted draft pick?

With the way Floyd finished the season, I think he could be moved up a few notches

Mack and Jackson missed games, so I marked them down for that, but the elevation of the whole D from Macks arrival was huge not only his playing ability if left Flloyd witrh an easier role took pressure off of Hicks, shortened the time for routes to develop etc So he was marked all the way back up. Our run D was outstanding that starts with Goldman and Hicks, if we were mush in the middle up front they could have washed Mack out and around all game.

1. Mack
2. Hicks
3. Goldman
4. Fuller
5. Jackson
6.Trevathan
7. Smith
8. Callahan
9. RRH
10. Nichols
11. Amos

This is basically what I think too. Crazy to have Mack as 3rd, but he did disappear at times.

Only change I would make is to move Floyd up to #8...maybe #7. And possibly flip Jackson/Hicks

Honestly I'm surprised you'd think Hicks was second to anyone on this team, with the possible exception to Mack.

Hicks dominates one-on-one, and sometimes on double teams, the key force in stopping the run and also collapsing the center of the pocket. Whereas I think Fuller is simply one of the better CBs, and Jackson rapidly developing as the best among FS, but I think there's a difference between best player on Bears compared to how each players ranks among their NFL peers... where CB and FS isn't spectacular, whereas we may have the best group of interior lineman in the NFL we've ever seen.

Think Fuller and Jackson make more impact plays. Hicks is obviously good in his own right but Fuller and Jackson have more game impacting plays. In the end, can't go wrong either way. Just a difference in preference.

Im pretty sure Nichols played better than RHH and Bullard hence why the coaching staff started to start him mid season. Hes the most versatile guy on the line and I'd be surprised if he doesn't start every game next year. I think Mack and Akiem are 1A and 1B. Hicks is better at his position than people think.
