He'd be worth it if he can turn our team around like the Suns this season. I don't see why he would leave Phoenix to join this team though.
He does fit the mold of what AKME is looking for.

Lonzo is still the most realistic option that also fits the type of player the front office wants. He’s also a heck of a lot younger than Paul, Conley, etc…

Durant 49/17/10 - Played all 48

Giannis had the chance to tie, but fumbled a nice play from Middleton.

He also had a chance to give them lead when it was tied at 104.. He had a crippled Harden guarding him.. he decided to shoot a fade away. Giannis played way too much hero ball in the 2nd half, and I gotta say it.. Budd is like a Thibs.. good regular season coach... horrible playoff coach.

Durant put on an all-time performance for sure. Lets not forget the contribute Jeff Green gave off the bench, hitting his first 6 three pointers.

Barkley just hammered him for that.

Chris Paul is out indefinitely as he has now entered the Covid protocol.

I don't want to live in a world where Paul George has a title.

Just saw that. I'm assuming it was that drive at the end of the game?
I have no idea..

But significant injury report:

Utah
Mike Conley - Hamstring D-to-D

Phoenix
Chris Paul - COVID - indefinitely

LA Clippers
Kawhi Leonard - Knee - unknown

Brooklyn
Kyrie Irving - Ankle - Unknown
James Harden - Hamstring - D-to-D

Atlanta
Trae Young - Shoulder - D-to-D
De'Andre Hunter - Knee - Out for season
Cam Reddish - Achilles - Out, return soon possible

Philadelphia
Joel Embiid - Knee - D-to-D
Danny Green - Calf - 2 to 3 weeks

Milwaukee
Donte DiVincenzo - Foot - Out for season

That's 6 All-Stars dealing with injuries, 4 of them have or are going to miss games. Conley is a very key piece to the Jazz.

Milwaukee has the least impact from injuries.. yet will probably lose to crippled Brooklyn because they're good at imploding.

Chris Paul might not be so bad if he got vaccinated. His time in isolation will be much less. If he didn't get vaccinated, well no one to blame but himself.

Reports seem to be that CP3 is vaccinated so who knows, maybe it blows over before the WCF even starts

He was vaccinated in February. He tested positive for it. He has to pass two test to be able to play.

LeBron is right in what he is saying. Ive always felt very similar about the condensed lockout season in 2012. They forced in as many games as they could and it had a brutal effect on the players.

I'm convinced that Rose wouldn't torn his ACL if it wasn't for how that season was. He had all types of nagging injuries that he kept rushing back from. He never got a chance to let his body to rest and heal.

Guess I shouldn't haven written the Hawks off.

76ers decided they're the Bucks tonight.

Bogdanovich is currently 6/6 on 3 pointers tonight. It's the first quarter.

Rose is really the only one to suffer in 2012, unless you can point me out to another. Rose is certainly the only prominent. LBJ and Wade went to the Finals, and did it against in 2012 without any real setbacks (Though if I recall Bosh missed a round). No other superstar or top tier star suffered injuries in the playoffs that year, even Chris Paul survived all 11 playoff games the Clippers played in that year.

In 1999, no one suffered.

Difference between now and then is they had a long ass off season vs many teams having virtually none. I don't think the condensed season really has all that much to do with it. I can certainly see how a team like the Lakers only having 7 weeks off certainly played into it.

Some injuries are just freak occurrences, some you could attribute to teams no having a long enough off season. Others are just injury prone players having injuries (Kawhi, Embiid, AD, Chris Paul, Kyrie). Kevin Durant had a whole year off, and while I understand coming back from an achilles isn't easy, he missed over half the season, despite having a year off. Kyrie missed a lot of games too despite basically having a year off. Klay Thompson tearing his achilles really had nothing to do with a condensed lockout schedule.
