2020 FA QBs

Yeah I mentioned it in the Cam Newton Discussion but thought it might not be so crasy to have a FA QB come in next year and use Trubisky as the back-up in his final year.

This story above actually has me thinking that the FA Market might not be a bad approach for the Bears. The top ten according to the writer

1. Dak Prescott
2. Tom Brady
3. Drew Brees
4. Phillip Rivers
5. Cam Newton
6. Ryan Tannehill
7. Andy Dalton
8. Nick Foles
9. Jameis Winston
10. Teddy Bridgewater

Every single one of them, when healthy, can and have played better than Trubisky.....

When the Market is full like this, you can typically pick up someone at a better price.

For the Bears, I like Teddy or Phillip Rivers.

Both are short term, but could be just enough to get you to the playoffs and possibly a SB.

4. Phillip Rivers, won't leave
5. Cam Newton, injured and makes 20/season
6. Ryan Tannehill, won't leave Tennessee
7. Andy Dalton, makes 17 million and would require a trade
8. Nick Foles, I don't think they trade him
9. Jameis Winston, bad at football
10. Teddy Bridgewater, maybe but will cost 60 million guaranteed

I agree with those, but you don't like Teddy?
I like him with the Saints..I hated him with Minny..I think its the Saints team that allows his success

Teddy would be good. But he is getting 60 million guaranteed and will be your QB for 3 years.

I doubt the Bears are that ready to put a bullet in Mitch.

He fits what Nagy needs in his system. He is smart, accurate, and can throw with timing.

He is 10 years younger Alex Smith.

Saints system is winning
Nagy's system is 5 yard passes and runs up the middle

If Bridgewater fits with Nagys system, count me out

Why do you think Rivers won't leave?
I can see him wanting to give it a last try with a different team to win.

He has 9 kids a bunch in school.

When the team moved to LA he refused to pull them from school, so instead he commutes 2 hours each way to the facility everyday.

He is not leaving his family and moving 2000 miles away.

They both require the same thing, regardless of success.

Yeah, i thought about that, too. I thought maybe you had like a contract reason or something.

Maybe he sees a chance to win here. But we also have less cap space than the Chargers and he isn't getting out of bed for less than 25 million.

If he was on this team right now with this level of protection, Bridgewater would be a disaster. He had all day to throw against the Bears and looked mediocre at best.

Is anybody watching the games? Did you see him against the Raiders last week? He's had a great career but he's done.

Yeah, that was sad to see. I don't know if it was just the one game or if he's really done.

Dalton could get released, unless a market actually develops for him. He's got no guaranteed $ left on his deal and he's done in Cincinnati.

I think it will be someone like Case Keenum.

His cost won't be as ridiculous, you can bench him if Mitch plays well, he is good enough to win with a stacked defense.
