Get rid of Westbrook? Yes. They would have won if they got only Cristiano Felicio back in a trade.
That John Wall contract isn't any better and he's only played in 70-something games the past three seasons. That's including an achilles injury.

Is this a "cant win with Westbrook " opinion after pairing him with the one guy in the league who hogs the ball and takes bad shots more than him?

I bet golden state could use Westbrook.

He burned the candle at both ends and doesn't have efficient basketball skills after athleticism advantages dry up, so its gonna be sad to watch how fast he washes up.

Still. John Wall is a similar player further down the decline with failing body.

They're both terrible, but if Wall is healthy, he's a better team player than Westbrook.

Westbrook has shown since Durant left, he's a first round and done guy (I'm aware the Rockets made it to Round 2, barely). A bunch of relatively empty stats.

Fair point. I was talking more in terms of availability.

It's a contractually bad move by the Rockets most likely as we'll never see the John Wall of old, but in terms of player fit, it's a win for the Rockets.

It's a wait and see thing imo, but at the end of the day doesn't change the fates of either team. They'll both be stuck

Wall is shooting more 3's. His fit next to Harden will be better than Westbrook. Bradley Beal gonna be pissed doe when Russ ISO's 80% of the possessions in his hand

I’d rather have wall not playing than have Westbrook playing and absolutely reking the offense

also, wait....you mean AD IsNt coming home?!

I'd rather not pay $40 million to a guy coming off a torn achilles, but that's just me.

id happily take that risk. As would the lakers, apparently. Those types of injuries are a risk, but not the risk they were a couple decades ago. medical advances and what not.

What player did the Lakers trade for that is coming off achilles surgery and was due $40+ million?

my bad, I read your post wrong. You were referencing John wall. and yeah, it’s not ideal. The rockets are still fucked, but I’d rather have an injured wall than Westbrook

Rockets still could trade Harden. That's not out of the realm of possibilities
