They didn't exactly struggle with short yardage. They just drafted another guy that doesn't improve their team this year or next when they should have got another weapon for Rodgers. Or a DL

Lions got a one trick pony, albeit that trick he does extremely well. Didn't think he would fit what they do but he can get to the QB. He's the anti-Floyd. Can't cover or play the run but can get around the edge.

Jones is FA after this year and doubt they wanted to give him big deal. So Dillion probably starting from 2021.

They got his replacement a year early and may even move Jones now.

There just isn't much need in the NFL for 2 down backs. See Jordan Howard.

Jones isn't going anywhere this year.

Detroit Lions: Julian Okwara, DE/OLB, Notre Dame - B Grade
The Lions play in a division with some pretty pedestrian quarterbacks - Nick Foles, Kirk Cousins, Jordan Love - but they still needed an edge rusher across from Trey Flowers. Julian Okwara makes sense here as a third-round prospect. This is a decent fit.

Okwara is a pass rushing specialist. Good pick. If the D gets opposing offenses into 3rd and longs, he will clean up as long someone else can leave him in on 1 on 1's

I think that film was from Louisville in 2018 when they allowed something like 40pts per game and Petrino was fired
