Imagine we didn’t trade up for fields and we are picking right now @20 who would you pick here?

Chicago...

WE GOT HIM

What are you looking for in rounds 2/3?
Honestly, I want the team to go all in on offense. O line and receivers. Christ, give the kid a real chance. Pace is good at the back end of the draft. Try and find a defensive gem there. It's time to play football like a modern NFL team.

fuck the defense. Build a team that can get you 40 every game. You got the major pieces in place already.

They gave up a lot to move up. I hope and think it will be worth it.

This move we just watched will change this franchise. I think the Bears will be a SB contender for the next 15 seasons.

I don't think they gave up all that much personally. Next years first is definitely worth it. I couldn't care less about this years 5th. The 4th is solid. Think they got good value to move up 9 slots.

The Bears acquired the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft from the New York Giants in exchange for the No. 20 pick, a fifth-rounder (No. 164) and 2022 first-round and fourth-round selections.

Chicago used the 11th pick to draft Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

I'm gonna say the same thing I said when Pace traded up for Mitch. If Fields turns out to be the guy we are hoping he will be...not a fucking soul will care what they traded. If he busts....welp, we've seen that scenario many times....nothing new to us.

If he busts, I can't hate on Pace for this. This is completely different than the Trubs trade.

I'd take him over Foles in that role.
We need A VETERAN QB to start the season until Fields is up to speed. And another veteran QB in case the starting QB gets hurt early on in the season. IT HAPPENS, YOU KNOW!

I'm hoping that we're now set at QB for the season. Still, I'm wondering if we should pick up another QB LATE. Like in the 5th, 6th, 7th round. CAN'T BE TOO RICH you know, especially after the "QB poverty" of the last 30-35 years! TAXI SQUAD HIM!
