I read this morning that the Lakers are "emerging" as a team interested in trading for Kyrie.

WTF do they have to trade? Unless it's LeBron or AD (which it isn't), they'd have to trade a bunch of bench players.

The Knicks were another team mentioned. That makes more sense.

I hope not. I like Collins the player but he’s always injured. If they made a trade for Collins, the odds are very high that both their starting PG and PF would miss significant time due to injury at some point. Best asset is availability. I’d pass on Collins

Miles Bridges wants a max contract extension. I would be very hesitant if I were the Hornets; he has done solid enough for us but I really don't think he is worth that kind of money either. And then with Atkinson backing out of taking the HC job, tough offseason for my Hornets so far.

We shall see.

Think I heard he has a player option for 22/23 so he can opt in with the Nets, or become an UFA.

A week or so back. Reports are Pelicans and Zion are expected to sign an extension some time this summer.

Kyrie is definitely opting out. A lot more money to be made that way for him. If the Nets won't pay him, someone else will. Even if he only plays 30 games a year.

With Bridges, it'll just come down to how much the Hornets think he's going to improve. Is he at/near his ceiling? If they think so, then I agree, it wouldn't be wise to give him a max contract. But if they believe he's got a lot of room left to grow, then I feel like you almost have to give it to him given his age.

Either way, someone is giving him 20+ million/year this offseason.

Yup. And a year after he signs that extension, he will force his trade out. Gets the most $$ he can, then gets to the situation he wants lol

Forgot to mention the Clippers earlier.

Gotta say... if the Clippers found a way to trade for Kyrie while keeping George (obviously Kawhi isn't going anywhere).... that could be interesting.

A healthy (and present) Kyrie, PG, and Kawhi probably definitely makes them a top 3 team in the west.

Be a real bad look if you are on a winning team with a core that could win a ship cause you pouting.

The Pelicans future is ten times better than Knicks and thats the only place he really wanted to play. If that is his attitude, I take the massive haul for him.
