This is from a recent Athletic article. Thought the QB hit rate might interest people.

Yannick Ngakoue has always done a great job at getting the QB but is with a new team almost every year.

Payne and Allen would be nice, there's a lot more snaps than most on this list and their rates are still top notch. Pair them with Will Anderson? Could be an underrated group up front.

Samson Ebukam would be a great rotational player at DE. Doesn't have the flashy sack numbers, but gets pressure on the QB and is a better run defender than anyone the Bears currently have at the position.

Can probably be had for 8-10 million a year if the Niners let him walk.

Is Allen a typical 3 Tech (honestly don't know)?

I am willing to wager that the Bears #1 overall target for the off season is going to be a legit 3tech. If they can land one then it avoids them having to draft and develop one...

I hope they spend the money on that and Center, if they go into the draft needing either I will be disappointed.

Of course the Bears had Mario Edwards Jr at one time. Looks like a good list though for Poles to find some guys this offseason.

Charles Omenihu and Jihad Ward are names I've been interested in at DE. They seem to fit what Eberflus has historically liked from his DEs. Big, good run defenders that can rush the passer from the edge and potentially big enough to move inside on 3rd and long downs.

But interestingly enough, Ward was with the Colts in 2018 and 2019, but they signed and released him several times. Omenihu played for Lovie in the same defense, after playing in the 3-4 for the Texans early in his career, then he was traded to the Niners last year. So, I wonder if they aren't as good of fits as I thought they were.

Well when they got rid of those players who were the replacements and who are their replacements comped to?
