Fielda most certainly is getting an favors from his receivers....but surprisingly the Bears (prior to this game) are 24th in the NFL in dropped passes with only 5. Bills are 1st with 11

5 out of how many attempts tho. Weve barely thrown the ball?

He threw the ball 50 times lol
Football Outsiders had a hilarious write up about how bad he looked when the game N was competitive and how piled stats when they were down 38-3

I've said it before but it bears repeating (pun intended), this isn't a good team by design. This is a year of evaluation and development that's purposefully designed to be the foundation of a rebuild. Each loss gets us closer to a better draft pick and, if Justin doesn't get hurt ?, allows him and some of the rookie/2nd year players (Braxton Jones, Velus Jones Jr, Fields, Brisker, Gordon, etc.) to get more reps and improve. I don't see anyone on the team quitting and Flus has at least kept the players motivated to TRY to win - even if they are woefully undertalented right now. There is going to be ups and downs by all these players, but rather than week to week, we should be looking at overall progression over the course of a season. Buckle up, buttercups, it's going to get worse when we play good teams lol

Hopefully everyone will have some solace, though it is easy to be reactionary and want to win in the moment during the game, in trying to look at the larger, long-term picture. As long as no one that's young(ish, considering Velus lol) gets hurt, they get to learn all season and try to get better. Hopefully Braxton Jones and Roquan can hit the weight room together so they don't get so easily thrown around (by a QB in Quan's case haha)
Yes for me... during the games.. I rooting hard for them to win right up till the last second. Once game ends with a loss.. and a few minutes pass and I calm down.. Im always glad they lost. I want to build a sustainably good team.. one that competes for 3-5 years. Get those higher draft picks and get all the young guys experience this year.

I think he played okay. He had a few misses, a bad INT in the red zone. But yeah, he's got nothing to work with. Lol.

Anyone that thinks this offense could be like the Chiefs if we just had a better QB is fucking delusional. It's ALL dogshit. Fields bails this team out so much with his legs.
It's true. Both are true. I never thought we'd be scoring 30+ points a game, but this feels so, so familiar.

Fingers crossed for next season, because the help isn't coming this season.

I'm hoping we draft a #1 WR and sign someone like Juju Smith Schuster in FA. And we need a better C/RT/depth. I don't know how much better Lucas Patrick is as a C opposed to being Left Guard, but he's dreadful as a LG. He's a turnstile.

The C/LG/LT right now are so bad. The RT isn't much better. Who would have thought that Teven Jenkins at RG would be our best lineman? Silver lining!

I saw the Washington wrs drop a ton of balls that hit them in the hands as well.
It happens.
The recievers can suck and the qb can suck. It isnt mutually exclusive.
I think its safe to say aside from the run game the entire offense sucks right now

Since Getsy clearly needs help, I'd like to recommend Jenkins either gets run behind 80% of the time, or make him a carrying FB. Fuck the Fridge, let Tevin ram it down their throat.

Justin Fields is a tough SOB and has so much talent-much more than Cutler and Trubisky. I feel like he's going to get injured any second due to that line. WR needs immediate help.

All you apologists, silver liners, rose colored idiots remember that when you mention Fields from now on.

Dude sucks
Clown...3.3 seconds, because he is running around for his life and majority of time, WR can't get open.....3 drops on final attempts to those bums

Fields will not throw unless his receiver is open by a country mile. Been seeing it for awhile now.

Nah, when its 1st/3rd and 20nd, I feel like the Bears actually have a chance of getting that first.

Not our receivers dropping the game winning touchdown on a perfect pass or anything. It’s Fields fault. Stupid take. Dude is set up for failure and now his number one receiver can’t catch a perfect game winning pass.

Yes he should of gotten the game winning TD.. but I don't think saying Fields should of put up 14points on the worst team in the NFL is really doing anything in defense of Fields.
