I concur that he is great and was the best player from Switzerland a few years ago.
When Liverpool won the EPL he was the best player that couldn’t get much playing time off the bench.
he over dribbles at times and is highly skilled. His peak was probably the 2016 euros or 2018 World Cup.

my comparison player would be Eden Hazard. Both in style of play and losing a step due to the weight of that body type and the miles the game asks.
I’d play them both as strikers alongside a strong/tall heading possession forward.
I don’t think you can ask them to run too much and expect good results.
