I witnessed Mike Ditka bring a sense of pride, toughness, leadership and winning to the Bears. Thats the "common denominator" I want restored to the Bears.

It wasn’t about his screaming. It was about his Will to Win, commitment to his team and how he is a leader of men — his teammates would have run through a brick wall for him.

The guy has had tremendous success as an OC. We can split hairs and try to credit him or discredit him for it… but it cannot be denied that he is an extremely successful OC. And without any “can’t miss” coaching candidates out there, he would be a Tier 1 guy for me (along with a few others) and I would not be upset if he gets the job.

Ok great thats fine - I think he shows that is a good leader, that is not the issue. My point is the whole clip was about his college game, which has very little to do with being a coach in the NFL-

Just because he was able to get that particular task done - Does not mean he will be a good coach, leader or manager of an NFL franchise. - Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Coach Staffing, Connections in the NFL, Draft, evaluations, player relations, roster, film study, general team organization, scheduling, along with a hundred other things that go along with the job.

His lack of experience is an issue and anyone that says its not; is kidding themselves. We just got rid of a guy that had very little NFL experience and it took the Bears Management 4 yrs to figure it out.

If we go with a hot coordinator would rather go with a Coordinator that has been around the league for a good amount of time, Daboll or Hackett. If that doesn't work out, I would want prior coach that still seems hungry, Harbaugh, Leslie Frazier or Todd Bowles type. Not Flores because he seems to want too much control.
