NFL COMPARISON: Martellus Bennett

We can't stop Aaron Rodgers so I guess we have to keep up.

So happy that dude shaved his head.
We just got the biggest TE in the draft that happens to be known as a passing threat.

Still a head scratcher. I suppose the plan is to redshit both top pics and unleash them next year. He has a big upside but needs to learn to play at a higher level.

Unless Pace knows something we don't know (which is possible) I really doubt Pace will be here to see if this experiment works. You do this in the first year of your contract, not a bubble year.

I am a proponent of getting a receiving option with a high pick in the same year that you get a QB. Let them grow together.

The fact that this is a big TE is great for that strategy. He is hard to miss and is fairly athletic for his size (dont let the 40 time fool you). He will be good in the red zone, as a safety blanket, and on those 10-20 yard passes down the middle. He has the size and strength to be a beast in the running game. What more could you want out of a second rounder?

I'm ambivalent on this one.

I really thought Pace would go for a solid day 1 starter on the defense in order to mitigate against the risk of the Trubisky pick. Instead we have another high ceiling talent that has a lot of development ahead of him. We also don't pick again until the fourth round.

On the other hand, getting a receiver that Trubisky can develop a relationship with has huge upside.

I'm so livid, I seriously might pass out. I'm mass producing Ryan Pace voodoo dolls and headed down to Lake Forest to sell them for $5/pop.

He literally is worse than Emery.

As long as you find somewhere without cell coverage or WiFi, I'm on board with this plan.
