Well you are commenting on effectively a war analogy without any understanding it seems. OTAs would be like basic training in the Army. It is not a battle.

You can be upset he is not at OTAs but there is no conflict between his statement and his absence at OTAs. In fact I would interpret his statement and the video as him saying whether he is at OTAs or not he will be prepared for when the actual battles ie games start.

I don't think 21 savage knows how to battle.

When it's time to battle, there are no doors. Others have stated there are perhaps fields.

He could have mentioned that he would be the first one on the plane that flys the military to the battle.

Or ship? Or even being the first one in the bunker would have been accepted.

A doee though?
Nah bro.

So glad they let me skip basic training and put me straight into Desert Storm.

Why are people arguing about this nonsense....

There's really no reason to lock this guy up to the kind of money Kenny Golladay got from the Giants (for reference, I doubt Golladay will be worth that money either). It was a good signing for his age twenty-five through twenty-eight years, the smart move is to just leave it at that and let somebody else fork over almost twenty million dollars a year to endure his decline.

Justin Fields is reason enough.

His success is key. He needs a #1 WR. What Arob wants is how much #1 WR's cost.

If you don't regain AROB then you need to find a #1 elsewhere. Zero way you can pull a cutler move on Fields. Load his offensive talent up so he has the best chance to succeed.

WTF are you talking about? Cutler had B Marshall and A Jeffries.

And who did he have his first few seasons?

He had Devin Hester as his #1 WR one year. That's my point.

Had they given cutler the talent he had at the end of his time here at the start he may have turned out differently.

At one point Jay Cutler was throwing to the two best WRs the Bears have ever had(until AR leaped Alshon), Martellus Bennett who is as good as any TE they've ever had and Matt Forte, who was arguably the premier pass catching back in the NFL. What did he do with those guys? Oh that's right, jack and shit.

The problem is I don't think its very likely Allen Robinson II continues to play like a number one wide receiver into his thirties, which is what his next contract will be paying him for. I also don't think he's a great profile match for what the Bears want to do with playing to Justin Fields' strengths. The Bears want speed and guys who can get open more than they want a possession receiver who excels at contested catches.

I'd much rather take that money and spend it on Chris Godwin, a player who's age and profile better match up with what the Bears want. Or ideally on an offensive tackle to bookend with Teven Jenkins.

The point flew over your head.

When we traded for cutler and he started his development here he had no one.

Kind of like how fields would have no one if we got rid of Arob.

I would say Greg Olsen was the best tight end the Bears had in my lifetime. The career he had in Carolina should have happened in Chicago, trading him away so Kellen Davis could get his time in the sun was among the most boneheaded personnel decisions I have seen in the league.

Thats fair, and thats a real concern.

I personally think his game translates well into his 30's. He's not a burner and gets by on route running and technique. Those guys usually play for a while.

Hey, if they can get a guy like Godwin or Juju or Adams instead of Arob(all fa's also), I'd be cool with that too. I just don't want to see fields throwing to mooney and trash in 2022.

Godwin is the guest writer for Peter King this week. He grew up a Bucs fan and is living his dream playing in Tampa. He’s probably going to instruct his agent to do everything possible to stay there.

Yeah to chose Martz over Olsen was one of the worst personnel decisions this team has made. But his best days came in CAR, which is why i said that about Bennett. Olsen never really got to shine in Chicago.

Nothing flew over my head. You made a terrible comp.

No I didn't.

We have no idea if cutlers development was stunted because he had trash at oline and WR during his early years here.

I'd like to not repeat that mistake with fields. You have a much higher chance to not bust in this league if you have talent around you. No reason to get rid of the talent we already have.

This team needs a #1 WR to help fields develop. Thats the point I was trying to make. Don't make life harder for him than it should be like they did to cutler early.

Another thing to consider is the possibility Cole Kmet develops to fill that niche as a physical receiving option, which would partially render Allen Robinson II redundant. Bears will get a look at him and Darnell Mooney's sophomore progression before they need to make any big decision's with Robinson II.

After Anthony Miller and possibly Robinson II walk I'm pretty sure Ryan Pace or whoever is GM of the Bears will have wide receiver as by far the number one position to address in the 2022 off-season.
