Good, I hope he now demands a larger stake than what he got screwed out of the first time around. If they don't like it, they can get fucked at Soldier Field like they already have been.

The McCrapskies are too fucking stupid to understand modern day NFL business. The way they currently operate is leaving millions upon millions of dollars behind year after year. An NFL franchise as large as the Bears should have an entire business district all for itself. You end up making money hand over fist from hotels, bars, restaurants, parking, casino...the whole 9 yards.

I love the downtown location and so does everyone else for the most part I think‐ but they want more seats, and legal gaming in the stadium.

Bears are now strong arming the city and its fun to watch. Lots of business lost downtown in the fall and winter if they aren't there

There's plenty of room at Arlington for a stadium plus betting facility in a joint venture. It would then be much easier for Arlington Heights to accommodate the venture and remove more of the burden from the Bear. The city may have not wanted a stand alone casino but this would be different with an NFL stadium on the complex. They wouldn't even need to share parking lots other than a short connecting road in case the NFL preferred some separation.

City better get serious about a do over or they'll get left behind. I personally don't care where in the area that the Bears play but they've got a raw deal and an undersized venue. Time to improve their lot and value.

I get that, but does it really require a move?

Cause imo, fuck that. The McCaskeys are the ones that cheaped out.

I would think fans would want them to just build a damn stadium on the lakefront
As a bears fan living out of state theres just something special about going to a game at Soldier Field in December. Like it or not, 12 deg. and a wind blowing off the lake intimidates certain teams from the South. Id vote to stay on the lake. Unfortunately I think with current economics and the McCaskeys looking to sell in the near future, the writing is on the wall.

As for a retractable roof and all that nonsense, Patriots play outside, in a bad ass stadium. Fuck the Final Four. Usually ends up in Indy or San Antonio anyway.

There will never be a casino at Arlington that ship has sailed . It would more than likely be a sportsbook

Calling people too stupid when you actually believed Trump was going to overturn the election LMFAO.

Content too good.

That's probably right but it still works. More about a revenue stream for the city. I changed it to betting facility. You can tell I don't gamble, LOL.

Bears Net Value would go through the roof (pun intended) if they built a shine new modern stadium, plain and simple.

We see it everywhere across the country. Malls are being torn down and replaced with other shopping centers. I think the Bears are now in a position to say, we want a new stadium, or we are moving on.

That lease only benefits the Bears, because it will take a few years to develop and build the new location, and when it is ready they will pay what they need to get out of the lease.

A good attorney team for the Bears will likely find some shortcomings of Soldier Field, and the Park Services will simply be out matched in court, resulting in a reduction of the Lease or a complete revocation.

With a new stadium and a massive complex at Arlington the Bears may become the most valuable franchise in professional sports.

With 100 grubby McCaskey hands reaching into the pot… that will matter to them.

Paired with hopefully a franchise QB who brings Super Bowl's to the city.
