So I was working on repairing a toiler in my powder room and was missing some tools some of which I think are in the house somewhere, just misplaced. Got me to thinking, what are the must have tools in a home? Ya know the basic set that just about every home should have even if they aren't so willing to tackle on projects.

Let me get it started:

Several different sizes of screw drivers for each type (regular, phillips, allen wrench)
A comprehensive socket set (minimum of 100 pieces)
Several different size lockable adjustable wrneches
Hacksaw
Hammer
Flashlight
Indoor/outdoor extension cords

The minimum power tool collection should be
Drill
Bench grinder
Circular saw at a minimum, a Miter saw if you can swing it
Angle grinder

Bonus additions... Reciprocating saw and jigsaw

Hand tools-
Screwdrivers of every size
Allen wrenches of every size
Adjustable wrenches
Sockets (metric, standard)
A couple files
Hammers (sledge, claw, mallet)
Pry bar/cats claw
Drywall/keyhole saw
Level
Tape measure
Carpenters square.
....and at least one set of vise grips for the inevitable stripped bolt.

A cheap voltmeter is a great addition.

I don't see airtime, if he's got good ideas, can someone re-post? Thanks.

Is Brett actually asking people to vet airtime's post for him, and repost if it is suitable, when all he has to do is click a button to see it? This guy is unreal.

A pair of pliers to wrench the stick out of your ass. A poor substitute for an actual hairshirt, or cilice.

You use a shop vac inside your house to vacuum your carpet? LMAO I think you better call the General for your car insurance.

This is truly one of the weirdest threads I've seen.

What do you need to suck out of your carpet that a normal vacuum wouldn't work?
