I would imagine that because we returned so many starters that the draft was seen as a way to add depth and developmental players, while some other teams are going to be reliant on rookies from the draft to actually start and improve the team. That is a tall order for any team to expect a rookie(s) to make them better.

Bears had no where to go but up. That said, Pace has done a good job. A few WTF signings/draft picks, but I suppose that is as expected.

I applaud your observance.

Pace has had some reaches and absolute blunders in early rounds, but he's found other players later that have worked. I think what's particularly important is the Chicago Bears have become a FA destination again. there's players that want to play in Chicago.
