Leatherwood at guard is more of a natural position for him, I really think raiders were trying to force it with him as a tackle. Look what happened with Jenkins when we moved him to guard.

I really like the idea of Leatherwood sitting a year and transforming into a guard, then possibly taking over for Whitehair, next year.

I was asking who they let go in order to claim 6 guys off waivers. They were at 53 before the waiver claims. Found the answer:

The Bears waived guard Zachary Thomas, defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga, linebacker Caleb Johnson and cornerback Duke Shelley, released linebacker Joe Thomas and placed receiver Tajae Sharpe on injured reserve in corresponding moves.

Bears also signed Kellen Diesch to the PS. Love this one. I liked him coming out of Arizona State. Big athletic tackle. Hopefully he can develop into a RT and take over for Reiff next year.
