Fields suffers a legit setback in walk through and the Peterman gets the start. bears gotta play the tank ethically. i hope anyway.. guess they might be too stupid to tank in the position they are in now? seasons almost ova, why fuck up a potential haul

This OL isn’t as bad as fields makes them out to be, did I get that right @dbldrew
according to pro football reference yes thats correct. you seem to be mad about it for some reason.. which is strange, why would you be mad that the OL is better then we thought?

the conclusion I've reached is it's probably 100% official the Chicago Bears could fuck up a 2 car funeral.

That will win them what? Year is done for them. Don't need the future fucked up.

It’s still 5 games for him to face live defenses and learn more. While he is the future (thank God) …. He’s still not a finished product. I still want him playing and learning.

Where you under the impression that this was a playoff team? This year the only thing that mattered is the development of Fields, He needs to play to develop.. Now letting him rest through the bi week seems smart that still gives him 4 more games to work and get better

If he's healthy, he should play. End of story.
Absolutely. I hope that in the week off, he and his OC came together and came up with a game plan that would introduce some middle of the field passes to Kmet and their wide outs. With Mooney on the IL, this should be the time for the Bears to really rate the receiving personnel that they have and figure out what additional players that they need to get for next year. It is also, I think, put up time for Kmet and the Bears as to whether or not they have a place for Kmet as a go to kind of receiver. He has shown some glimpses of a future but you certainly cannot rate in in the top 15 or so of tight ends in the NFL right now, right?

I'm also hoping they come up with a way to incorporate Chase C. into the offense. I'd like to see him get at least 3-4 receptions.

Why don't people get this?
I don't know. Maybe it goes back to how some people were raised such that winning isn't important and everyone needs to play safe and be careful or they will get hurt.

It makes me wonder how long people would care to protect Fields from getting hurt. What happens next season if they just tank the rest of their games and Fields hasn't grown as a quarterback. What if he gets put back out there and gets hurt in the first game? Then what? Tank the 2023 season also? Football is a dangerous violent game and we've had some special quarterbacks who have lasted 15 seasons and taken hundreds of violent hits. Right now Fields needs experience and players around him that can protect him as well as possible. But he still can and will be hurt. When he's 45 years old he might not be able to walk let alone run very well.
