People keep forgetting about this. I think we are looking at a 2009 level defense.

Far cry from last year's full season of alternating home/away games. Back-to-back road games 3 times, but end with 4 of 5 at home, with the road game being the 2nd shortest trip all season.

Looks like 5 or 6 wins to me. Better beat the Texans or could be a VERY ugly first half of the season.

Week 1- v 49ers - Getsy offense gonna take the Niners by Surprise and Soldja Fields is gonna be lit. Revenge game for the Niners not drafting Fields + his d blowing it last season. W!
Week 2- @ Packers (SNF) Luke Getsy knows the Packers offense inside and out. Poles is taking the north and never giving it back. W!
Week 3 - vs Texans- Lovie Smith is going to try way to hard and completely blow it because he's mediocre. W!
Week 4- @ NY Giants- Daboll gonna prove what he is without Josh Allen. Exactly what he's always been without Josh Allen. Bad. W!
Week 5 - @ Vikings- They hired a geek squad guy to be GM. At this point the Bears are 4-0 and Cousins choked vs solid Bears squads. W!
Week 6- v. Washington (TNF)- Just an awful franchise and Ron Riviera is getting fired soon. W!
Week 7- @ Patriots (MNF)-Eddie Jackson finally has himself a game and returns 2 YAC Jones INTS for TDs. Bears in a massive blowout. W!
Week 8- @ Cowboys- Dak is injured again. W!
Week 9 - vs Dolphins- Tua and his papercut offense is no match for Fields, the runaway MVP candidate at this point of the season. EZ W!
Week 10 - vs Lions- W!
Week 11 - @ Falcons- Fields goes back home to sling dick. W!
Week 12- @ NY Jets (Sunday, so no Thanksgiving game)- Zack Wilson confirmed bust. W!
Week 13 -vs Packers- Fields has covid and Rodgers owns the Bears again. L :(
Week 14- BYE
Week 15- vs Eagles- Bears are rusty following the bye week. L :(
Week 16- v Buffalo- The stench of Mitch Trubisky from last season has destroyed whatever hopes this team has had of competing in 2022. W!
Week 17 - @ Lions- W!
Week 18- vs Vikines- Fields gets the Bears up 24 points before being sat to start the 2nd qtr. Is backup time. Bears blow the lead. L :(

Doesn't look like a bad schedule at all. Buffalo and Packers (x2) are the only games that scream L. Everyone else very beatable. Weak NFC.

Even with a rebuilding team with plenty of holes they should be in games in the fourth quarter.

They still have the outside pass rush. Obviously Robert Quinn. There's a lot to like about Al Quadin Mohammed--getting better every year, 26, and his familiarity with scheme. I'm not high on Trevis Gipson lasting long with Flus, but many here think he's here to stay as well. That's not a bad 3 man rotation for pass rushing.

They're going to get gutted alive in the run game. No 3 tech, and a rotation of Blackson, Tonga, the backup from the Chargers, and probably Mario Edwards is going to get abused. They don't need a unicorn/elite level 3 tech, but even basic penetration to put pressure between opposing guards looks like a problem. Quan and Morrow are going to have to go above and beyond shedding guards making it to the 2nd level.

Hard to feel good about this team when it didn't do much to build on a bottom-feeding offense (especially the OL) and have a bottom of the middle-of-the-pack at best defense. I get the schedule can bounce with an injury to another teams' star, but I don't know how this team right now is winning more than 4-5 games.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if this team has a winning record with this schedule. The idiot meatheads will think this team is a contender, but will get blasted by real teams. We still don't have a great QB or any weapons that scare a real team. D should be solid, but that can only cover up the deficiencies for so long.
