If threads are going to be merged, at least mention in the other Houston thread title that Houston signs and point to the page where the source is listed

You're welcome. Just saw the other post about Bears trying to nab Houston but no posts about actually signing him so thought I'd give everyone the heads up that didn't know.

One source says #Bears offering $8.5 million per year for Michael Bennett and #Seahawks at $8 million annually. That is word around league.

The Bears, who were expected to be big-time players for pass-rush help in free agency, have added one of the top defensive ends available in the Class of 2014.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Bears have agreed with Raiders defensive end Lamarr Houston on a five-year, $35 million contract.

Houston, 26, recorded 69 tackles and six tackles in 2013. He was the ninth-ranked free agent and third-ranked free agent on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100.

Houston’s arrival comes as the Bears reportedly look to move 33-year-old defensive end Julius Peppers.

No. People are also forgetting already that the Bears made an exceptional offer to Bennett. He just didn't take it.

Grossly over paid all because of desperation thanks to shera flopping
Houston, 26, recorded 69 tackles and six tackles in 2013. $7M/yr

E Griffen Minn recorded 26 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2013 $8.5M/yr

and for funny: Three days later, he was arrested again after he was found driving with an invalid drivers license. He then tried to flee on foot only to be tasered after allegedly grabbing an officer in the crotch area.

Yeah, I think one of those is an example of overpaying

This is great reporting.

Three days later than what?

It refers to the subject most recently mentioned, that's proper grammar, so Griffen.
