I love all you message board heros here thinking the Bears have the luxury of going BPA

That is for successful organizations. They have the LUXURY of doing that cause they have this thing called depth.

The Bears have no depth and a ton of holes on the roster.

Shitty teams like us have to draft for need. Period.

With that said what are our greatest needs in order.

I'm going :
Qb
Ot
S
Te
Wr
Cb
Edge
DL

you won't have depth until you stop the cycle of drafting for need and reaching for the endless QB you can't develop. Its a chicken and egg paradox, and one you must start to be a chicken, if you are ever going to lay an egg.

you gotta be a chicken man...you can't be no egg.

Sounds good! I'll get Pace on the phone now and let him know.

Anything else?

Hold on... now he's asking what we should do in Free Agency.

Reading this board, anyone would think the Bears are a team who have struck out on first round QB busts a half dozen times in the last decade.

Reality is they haven't made a serious effort to draft a franchise QB in 14 years. They are not an overly hasty team when it comes to QB. They are the most extreme of the polar opposite.

So what pick is a chicken genius?

The mock draft in your sig?

Does that follow BPA or needs? Looks like needs to me

Its because of people like this that the Bears organization is in soo much trouble. You draft BPA when your team can upgrade at any position. What and how many positions on the Bears can we not get better at. That's right 0. So if you have the third pick you take a player that grades out as the third pick. Not take a player that grades out between 15-20.

What he says is true, of the QB position.

The Bears have bent themselves over in regards to the QB position. They have left themselves in a must win situation in a draft with QBs that need time to develop.

The draft will be affected by free agency. The still is a potential for bpa at the QB position.

OP has a 1:1 condescending name calling to post ratio in this thread. Where does that put him value wise on our long-standing agreement with the Lions board? Half a ham sandwich (no cheese)? Two pickle spears and a slice of rye? Would either of those fill a need?

Draft a qb for the future, protect him.

Something most meatballs don't understand

The OL was pretty solid last year. Not great, but they could bring back the same starting 5 and be a top 15 OL again. Their CBs and safeties are in the bottom 5 in the league at both positions. Without Jeffery, WR corps is also among the worst in the league.

Cb and S can be shored up via free agency easier than OT

While our starters are ok there is zero depth behind them should an injury occur

So you just changed from "greatest needs in order" to "greatest needs that can't be filled easiest in free agency"? Good talk.

I didn't see you provide your list pal
