Mocking sadows making stupid comments. He literally said belichecks resume makes pace look like a genius. His commentary on belicheck might be one of the dumbest things I've seen on these boards

point taken.

What is the purpose of this thread? Are idiot pace lovers trying to argue pace is better than belichick?

it appears that way. Belichick has 6 rings with the Patriots, who were historically a degenerate loser franchise and are now the standard of the world. I wish our general manager was that terrible.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Maryland Terrapins
85 draft picks since 2010.

3 pro bowlers

17 players who started 2 seasons or more.

Without brady, he'd be a dumpster fire. Guaranteed.

He makes pace look like a genius.
Why did you start in 2010??? You cherry picking ball of meat.

Bill Belichick's draft record

Here's a crazy thought.....
whether it's a GM or a HC isn't it essential to draft a good Qb or have a Qb to be successful ?
And when ya don't have a good Qb, things tend to "be a dumpster fire"

2009 was rock bottom for the team. 10-6. seems to be the magic win/loss record to get.
Let's just leave out Brady and Edelman and Wilfork and Gostkowski and Gronk and Mankins and McCourty and Seymour...Christ am I missing any others???

@msadows Why are you cherry picking this?
What are trying to say? Explain yourself please.

the entire argument was the Patriots have a bunch of nobodies due to poor drafting. their Pro Bowl selections, ANNUALLY, were at least 8 deep. 5 guys in the "dreadful" 2009 season. there is no argument here. that's BEFORE the 3 Super Bowl wins.

If so many players did not opt out for the Patriots they would be in the playoffs this year.

The thread starter based his argument on look at Brady in Tampa Bay. The same team that got obliterated by their main division rival twice, and also were pretty much owned by the Chiefs and Rams in prime time games. What are Brady's stats in all those big games? He has 9 picks in just those 4 games. Tampa Bay is loaded with talent on offense, and Brady's numbers are inflated by beating up on garbage teams. The Patriots are 6-6 and have beaten 4 teams with winning records. Tampa Bay is 7-5 and has beaten two teams with winning records.

2021 UPDATE

Belichick: #1 seed in the AFC

Pace:

Does this dismiss the fact that his draft record was trash over a 10 year period?

Once again, this thread was never about BB being bad, it was about the fact that being an NFL GM is not easy, and a lot of it involves luck.

This was in direct response of pace being the worst GM in football, which simply isn't true. The job, drafting at least, is hard as fuck. A lot of bears fans don't realize that.

You look at any GM's draft record if he sticks long enough and it looks ugly.

People just honestly dont even know what a good troll job is anymore nowadays.

Its legit on page 1, you can tell what the fuck the point of the thread is:

"Msadows is actually a person who looks outside the bubble that is the chicago bears and isn't blinded by NFL stupid.

He realizes the hit rate in the FIRST ROUND is 50% for a starter, not just an elite player, but a starter.

Most of these GM's are grasping at straws. Sure, some of them are better at it than others, but a lot of it is also luck."

And forget the fact there's FA and he did get a enough out of draft picks to field an above average Defense and above average o-line seemingly every single year.

Also the type to trade down rather than up. Always looking for not necessarily the best players but the players of most value. Something you can do when you hold all accountable rather than expecting a few of the highest paid to carry you through. Was always his MO with the Pats. When players got too good or overvalued, let them move on and on to the next.

If, for some reason, I wanted to look galactically stupid on the subject of football, I think I would start out by arguing that Bill Belichick was not very good at his job.

Next I would argue that Ryan Pace is....
