Birds haven't touched the peanut butter since I put it out in a bigger container.

Bird Buddy on sale.

I really dig mine and I'm even more glad that I got an extra one to give to good friends.

I added oats, dried cherries, and dried cranberries to my regular bird chow and birds have been going bird wild.
Bird Buddy pic showed starling eating a cherry.
No scurvy for my bird friends!

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Currently under the usual late winter / early spring invasion of red winged blackbirds...I have some photos and videos, but they don't do justice to seeing them live...thousands of them flying and talking to each other...so loud, and they look like a swarm of insects from a distance...they all land in the bullrushes behind my house around sunset and quiet down for the night. Occasional robins around, but this is RWB neighborhood right now.

I never see red winged blackbirds at my place but I'll see them only 2 blocks away.

I got fruit & nut bird chow.
Mix 20 cups bird chow and 4 cups uncooked oats.
Gallon and a halve and birds go through that shit in a week.
Squirrel too. I sprayed pole with super slick oil so I think asshole squirrel just jumps onto it but I haven't actually seen it go down.

There's a bird (maybe a crow?) that's been visiting my walkway/porch/driveway recently.

I feel it must be one of @ytsejam's spies.

Give him some peanuts and he'll be your friend.

When it warms up and I start sitting outside I figured I'd drop him a snack if he's still around.

Birds need food more when it is cold. Get out there and feed your new friend.

I see lots of oats left over in my bird chow mix.
Oats are good for birds so I won't eliminate them but probably lower the percentage quite a bit.
I should also mix in egg shells as they are good for springtime bird egg making.
