yes its that simple because we see that formula for most NFL teams, make the correct read get the ball out fast and on time. The problem is Trevor is just a bad QB that his accuracy was pretty erratic past 10 yards. Nobody is saying that Trevor should be the starter, but he did illustrate that the OL is not as bad as people are making it out to be.
I think most people have accurately pointed out that the line struggles in pass pro, which is true. Because Siemian got the ball out quicker to no one in particular before taking a sack doesn't mean the offensive line is "good" or even "good enough" for where we want to be.
I feel like I'm one of the few on the board who are reasonable about the line and what it needs. Whitehair, Jenkins and Jones (after an NFL strength training offseason) can be part of a good line, as long as the center and the other tackle get significant upgrades. At that point, I don't think the line will be worth criticizing. Until then, yea, they struggle in pass pro, and Fields needs to get better about recognizing what "Sunday open" is and pulling the trigger. Two things can be true at once.
