This was an easy call and probably something both parties knew would happen once the team reached the appropriate level. I'm glad that level came this year and not next year.

I am surprised but happy. I wouldn't be against bringing Renteria back as a bench coach but they do need a better guy as a manager. I sure as hell don't want Ozzie back.

I hope they bring in Sandy Alomar. He's smart. Has just about seen everything that can happen in baseball and I believe he'd have the respect of both the veterans and the players. He also would have, I think a better understanding of how to use a pitching staff after his years of being a top catcher in the league. The handling of a pitching staff is something that Hahn must have made his final decision on because what Renteria did in that last game against the A' s was ridiculous.

This is a move that needed to happen after our late season collapse, and his terrible management of that elimination game.

Still, I actually didn't expect us to pull the trigger. I'm glad Hahn did what needed to be now instead of wasting another year of our window.

Hearing LaRussa being mentioned as a possible candidate. Does he have anything left?
Who cares.
More than Dusty left.
Only good happens when you bring a baseball mind that bright into your discussions. 2-4 years with a prime young club...

go for it while we still have Abreu.

It had to be done after the moves he made not only all season but the playoffs. He was like Boylen with the Bulls. So happy that Cooper was finally shown the door. Got tired of hearing how great of a pitching coach he was. All the youngarms he had throughout of years and really nothing to show for it.
