Stop, this is quality analysis!
I'm just saying this has been a topic that was discussed to death when Lovie Smith was still around and the defense was actually good. that was probably in the midst of Major Wright/Chris Conte-ism actually. now suddenly it's a surprise? really?

pretty weird.

I remember when the Bears called out Fuller, year two I think, doubting his motivation to be a football player. That's when Fuller said he was injured. I'm assuming that was Fangio who called him out, right?

Maybe he's hurt, just not hurt super bad.

Totally agree. He is simply unable to play press man, or is so uncomfortable doing so that he just refuses to. Both point to his limits and, eventually so too to this result.
Tillman made career playing off man. He used the bail technique and was exceptional at it. He wasn't simply a zone corner as people assume. Press man isn't the end all be all.

what, this is some major revelation that great play from the front 7 translates to the secondary looking better? you people are serious?
Well, they never played like that again. Not with Pagano, and so far, not with Desai.

WTF are you talking about Fuller made the pro bowl exactly once with Fangio and once with Pagano
So, so did Trubisky. Going to the pro bowl means nothing. Look at the stats, he had half the interceptions, half the pass defended, he allowed more than 20% more pass completions, he allowed 2 more yards per target, 5 TD’s and 102 pass rating against him. Like I said in 2019, he was living off what he did in 2018, that’s why he went to the pro bowl.

He’s playing for Fangio on a different team and scheme, he doesn’t have Mack, Goldman, Smith, Floyd, etc… that scheme in the Bears in 2018, with those players created a lot of pressure and him and Jackson benefited from that, they basically made their careers from that.
Why the hell would Fangio be running a different scheme? You’ve completely made a fool of yourself with that statement.

Because you change your scheme with different players, you don’t run the same defense when you don’t have the same players.

The scheme is even changed based on opponent, heck even the down and situation. A scheme si not the basic formation(3-4, 4-3, 46, etc.) which even changes in game sometimes, the scheme is the basic formation, plus coverage, blitzes, stunts, etc. And you design all that based on what kind of players you have. The Scheme is Front, Coverage and pressure packages.

Fangio scheme with the players he had in 2018 created a lot of pressure on the QB, making Fuller and Jackson look a lot better than they were. Just look how fast their stats dropped after he left, even if the Defense overall decline a little slower.

”A defensive scheme includes all components of a defense, choreographed in hopes of stopping an offensive tendency. On 1st and 10, if the offensive tendency is to run between the tackles, a coordinator might call 4-3 Cover 2, Wil A (in this case, Wil A would be the Weak Inside Linebacker blitzing through the A gap). This would fill almost every running lane on the snap of the ball.

On 3rd and 10, if the offensive tendency is to run between the tackles, a coordinator might call 3-4 Cover 4, dropping four players deep in coverage and rushing only three.

There is no right way to call a defensive. There is no single scheme to stop a specific play, especially since the defense will never know what offensive play has been called until the ball is snapped. The only choice a coordinator has is to be thoughtful in the construction of a defensive scheme.

Successful defensive schemes identify which front, coverage and pressure is best suited to stop an opposing offense.”

What was that scheme? And what scheme are they playing in Denver?
