Official update for rain at O'Hare in May
1) 8.25” 2019
2) 8.21” 2018
3) 8.20” 2020
I think 2020 will move into 1st by the end of the month.

I work in the wastewater treatment industry and these past 3-4 days are very similar to April 2013, which was a complete shit show (pun intended). Even though wastewater is separate from stormwater, the infrastructure isn't a completely closed system due to cracked and shifted pipes, so we end up treating a ton of rain water in our process.

Our plant typically treats 11MGD (million gallons per day) and during these times our flow rates hit 90+MGD. It's a mess right now.

Would love to have some rain out here.... It hasn't rained much at all this entire spring.

I wish I could help you out. I'd give you about 25 million gallons of rain water, which isn't supposed to be in our sanitary sewer pipes...

I am not sure I need that much for my garden.... However, if we could divide it up I am sure we would take it!

Looks like we got some rain overnight in my suburb. I wonder if it was enough to push us over the top?

We've had enough rain. Thurs morning it rained so hard that my primary and secondary sump pumps ran nonstop for 5 hours. Did keep the house dry inside.
Farmers had just replanted and were flooded again. A couple of them told me they are going to use crop insurance and wait until next year.
