CCS Weather Thread (Snow Season)

All summer it has been rain or hot as hell. Today is hot so mowing before the rain starts tonight. This sucks.

I desperately would like a nice leisurely day of mowing... but the grass round these parts isn't growing for shit.
A nice 3 day stretch of rain would be awesome.
My place had a creek with minnows and tadpoles out front last year, with about a half acre of marsh on one side.
It is all lawn this year.

Woke up and there was condensation covering my windows.

we had a good couple inches or more of rain yesterday-my unscientific bucket in the yards shows 3-4 inches.
had some wind that shredded some roofs a few towns over.. enough to make the news.
where i am, hardly any leaves were disturbed.

If this wasnt enough to get my lawn up to cutting height and to green up a little, I am just going to let it go for the year.

Tonight more is expected, situation is unpredictable due to moisture in the air.

It does seem like the weather patterns have been much more spotty and isolated this year.
Storm systems have a huge impact on my work life and trigger the need for me to respond when I am on call.
sunday night I walk across my bone dry grass to get in my truck and head 15 miles east.
Dry roads quickly turned in to downpours, then dry roads, then downpour.
It wasnt even one system moving through- it went dry soaked dry on the way back as well.
