Yeah, but they are cheap patches for one year (because of the salary cap). It's extremely rarely that undrafted WRs have an impact in their rookie season.

Usually there are one or two UDFA rookies on an entire roster. Or zero. Even a vet minimum player is usually only a few hundred thousand more that an UDFA on the cap.Yeah, but they are cheap patches for one year (because of the salary cap).
You were the one last preseason who told me the Bears depth problems were no worse than any other team.Or maybe the Bears need more than two receivers...
Yet there are always UDFAs who win NFL awards every single year and sometimes multiple UDFAs some years.Usually there are one or two UDFA rookies on an entire roster. Or zero. Even a vet minimum player is usually only a few hundred thousand more that an UDFA on the cap.
UDFAs always get a chance, because they are young and cheap and there are 90 players on the roster when camp opens. It's just that they very rarely are good enough to make the team, so it's tough relying on them for anything. If they surprise, great, but it's rare.Yet there are always UDFAs who win NFL awards every single year and sometimes multiple UDFAs some years.
I would take an UDFA rookie over a vet minimum player every time because most vet minimum players are vet minimum players because they are not very good and are picking up one final NFL contract. The UDFAs at least have a chance of showing something that they can build on in the future.
Not that it is the greatest thing in the world but the 2022 has at least 4 former UDFAs on the team (I don't have a complete list of the AFC roster and I am too lazy to find it.
If teams sign some bottom of the barrel vet minimum players and don't give UDFA players a chance, they are throwing away opportunities for UDFAs to have a career for players who are at the end of theirs.
my bad 9 games a yearMight wanna recheck your math there
Ryan Jensen come on down.I’d rather spend our limited free agent money on some professional Oline. Maybe not top tier guys but some professional guys who can get the job done. Same with CB. Spend our draft capital on getting Justin some real weapons.
Tell me in detail about teams around the league and their quality depth in comparison to the Bears. You were the one last preseason who told me the Bears depth problems were no worse than any other team.
I told you guys Pace's trading of picks would catch up to us. Now here we are.
