I'm good.

Best case scenario you start him and he plays just well enough to ensure we can't draft a QB of the future.

Worst case scenario he destroys the locker room.

One of them def. would happen if we signed him.

how many garage beers deep?

Because I don't want to sign a guy who hasn't been in the league for 4 years, and when he was he was mediocre as fuck?

Sorry, but no ty to kap.

Let nagy ruin this team, fire him, then draft the next QB in the first round next year. Hopefully its wilson.

Only a meatball would think that with the worst rushing attack worst o line and worst play caller in the league that this offense is a QB away from even being average.

Nah evidently you gotta be a raging alcoholic if you don't want colin

Lots of options in 2021. Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Jimmy Garappolo.

Ravens will cut ties with Lamar Jackson via trade (2nd round pick) rather then pay him 100 million.

I was never really a big Colin Kaepernick fan - I don't see what the Bears have to lose at this point. Colin just turned 33 a couple of weeks ago. He's about the same age as Foles. I say go for it. We probably are not drafting a QB in 2020.

What makes you think that? OT and QB are by far our biggest needs on this team. It's also the ones we cant easily fix in FA(Even if we did have cap, which we don't).

This draft has the potential to have 5 first round qb's. There is a very realistic chance we take one, it just might be lance/trask.

TBH, I'm an eternal optimist, but I don't see an upside to signing colin. He's never been very football smart, and you're asking him to come off the street and learn the most complicated system in the NFL. Not a recipe for success.

We have two crappy QBs too. What's Kaepernick going to do? Ruin our elite QB status? Ruin our reputation for great player acquisitions?

Ppl on this board seem to think our brass should avoid moves that might scare potential FAs away. Do you think having the balls to sign Kaepernick might change the perception amongst the myriad of black players in the league?

The league has endured God awful QB play from teams with nowhere to go to teams who could make a playoff run and Kap was never even an option.

He'll never play another down in the NFL.

...because he already sued the league and was paid to go away.

Is it really the most complicated though? Or is that Nagys words? I feel like the Bears run the most basic bitch offense in the NFL

No, I think signing a QB who was pretty bad the last year he was in the NFL just isn't a good idea.

Now you add the fact you hasn't played in the nfl for 4 years, and it's a worse idea.

I don't think this has anything to do with our image in the league. If anything signing him would improve our FA image.

Based on formations, and amount of plays, yes, its pretty fucking complicated.

In reference, we've ran 9 different formations this season. The chiefs have run 3.

Nagy is outsmarting himself on a regular basis, and confusing the rest of his players.

Colin would never come here anyway. He's not dumb enough to come to possibly the worst situation you can be as a QB in 2020. Again worst playcaller worst running game worst o line in the league. The vast majority of starting QBs if not all would look like trash in that scenario.

Tell me we cannot cut Taylor Bray and sign Kaepernick...

Sure. We can. But why?

They should cut bray and sign an actual QB who played football in the past year. You know, a UDFA.

Colin is done.

He can still get signed by a team and no one is going to sign him, regardless of that collusion case. He was never going to get signed.
