That was expected. Both sides are working on a lower return rate. I expect 5mil plus bonus perks.

A little surprised by this. Lester still had some left in the tank..Why pay the 10 million when you could sign Jon 1 more year at a reduced rate?
They had to decline the option and pay the 10 million in order to sign him at a reduced rate.

if they did not decline the option he got 25 million for 2021.

25 with a 10 buy out. Giving him 5 mil base gives them a 10 mil savings and perks IMO based off of innings etc.

They are already paying him 10 mil might as well give him 5 and get some value out of it.
