Here’s a fun fact…

joc pederson has a worse WAR than Ian Happ, Jason Heyward, and even Eric Sogard
I mean... when you hit .137/.262/.235 in your first 1/3 of the season that'll happen. He's hit .284/.339/.477 since then and that happens to slot in nicely with his career .231/.335/.465 triple slash. Seems like an odd take given he's actually been playing well of late.

it’s not a take…it’s merely laying out the factual numbers for the total season so far. Not sure why you want to defend a guy with a negative WAR on the season here in mid June…that’s an odd take

Cubs win the series! David Ross MOY! 8 over .500 with an injury riddled team. Crazy

What is this shit lineup we rolled out there today

Cubs WIN. Cardinals are next in line and they on a 6 game loss streak, 3.5 games out. Cubs can bury them in the standings further!

To lose 3 of 4 to the Giants and rebound and take the series vs the Padres at their place is great mojo for the clubhouse.

Really nuts what an elite bullpen can do. I don't want to go too overboard here but it makes me wonder how much impact the cubs pitch lab and their re-emphasis the past year or two on pitching development has changed things.

Injuries and giving some guys the day off. I'll gladly take the W. Nice way to finish out the West coast swing with a series victory. Now back to Wrigley this weekend vs. the Cards with 100% capacity
