Would anyone expand on what’s discussed on this pod? Like worth a listen or nah
I thought the details he went into surrounding the night of the knee injury were interesting (toward the middle of the podcast)--specifically having David Garrard come with him (who was in the stands watching the game) to the hospital, his description of the procedure details, and the subsequent difficulty he experienced weaning off the pain killers a month later.
If you're not familiar with Miller's road to the NFL (and if you remotely care), his story there is interesting as well (transferring from Nebraska to D2 Nebraska-Omaha in order to get on the field, being a successful QB, being unable to throw at his pro day due to injury, feeling completely out-of-place at first in the NFL, etc.)
He also explains why he didn't pursue coaching as a post-playing-days career option, as he is limited in how long he can stand (i.e., minutes, not hours). I hadn't heard that directly stated before.
I thought it was worth the listen.
