Dalton just said he chose the Bears because he was promised the starting position at QB.......
That would have got them even more killed by the fans and the media.Obviously the Bears kinda fucked up by giving him a literal one year deal and not the kind of three year deal that is actually a one year deal that they gave Mike Glennon. Nobody actually believes there is a long-term commitment because the Bears didn't even craft the facade of one.
Well its part of their job to not care what the fans or media think. Would've been nice to at least gotten a few cheap years and some control thrown into the deal if Andy Dalton actually lights it up and shocks the world. As it stands now the Bears wildly overpaid him for one year and don't even get any long-term benefit if they pull a rabbit out of the hat. That would have got them even more killed by the fans and the media.
Big difference over 2017 is Bears pick at #20 not #3. Hope the Bears go OT then QB in the draft. If he’s doing 2017 all over again, he got a much better player than Glennon was... if he could just not pick the worst QB in the draft.

Because of the position I think Mond, Davis, and Trask will go in round two.Mond or Davis on day 3
10 million is wildly overpaying for a starting qb?Well its part of their job to not care what the fans or media think. He's not really a starting caliber quarterback and he was guaranteed more money than any of the other backups have this off-season.10 million is wildly overpaying for a starting qb?
