I read the Peter King column. He's spitballing and having fun, which is fine. But I don't think it's truly meant to be insider information.

I don't think the Texans will get anything near the king's ransom that people are expecting, IF they even end up trading him.

It's not that Watson's not worth it. It's just that teams rarely get true equitable value in return for a superstar. I realize this trade may break all the rules, but I'm just not buying it.

The Texans are not going to get an All Pro and three first round picks for Watson. It's just not going to happen.

My local sports talking heads were really pushing Peter Kings thoughts on a Deshaun Watson trade.

Apparently maybe definitely it'd take a 6 or 7 to 1 swap. 3 players and 4 picks.

Would yall busters trade Montgomery, Mack and Fuller, two firsts, a second and a third for Watson?

This seems like too much.

@msadows would you do this if you were Pace?
@TheWinman would ya?
@Montucky tell me I'm wrong here.
It would be tough losing all the players you mentioned but we're getting an elite QB for the first time in the history of this team. so yes I would this. You can do things to require draft picks or talent, but as we all know too well, it's so hard to get a proven elite QB

Please see TheWinman thread in the bar. Thanks!
No thanks! I rarely ever read let alone respond to any replies to me. I say my piece and I could care less what you and most of the idiots in here have to say. There are about 20 or so quality members on CSS. Consider yourself lucky that I replied to this time.

Give everything for him. The whole roster, coaches, executives, all of it. All we have is Virginia, a small team of corporate lawyers, and 4. Rebuild.

You have no picks anymore though? Remember when all that Cutler needed was a Oline?

I remember when all Cutler needed was a brain transplant. Don't think Oline would've solved for his garbage decision making.

But yeah, no picks hurts, but having a legit QB and extra cap space will have to do.

Pace should certainly do it...if he has a chance. Our d would regress, and out O would need some line help to improve, but for the long term...f yeah, gotta do it. Problem is that I still don’t see him approving a trade to the Bears...Pace burned that bridge and the bus with mahomes and Watson went over.

IMO, best thing is a rookie, and possibly trubs and a rookie, but I’m sure Pace will do something different, and stupid, like always.

That is a lot. When you factor in the dead cap space and what the roster looks like it's a hard deal to move forward on.

Watson has a good chance of playing at a high level for the next 10 years. That's more of a sure thing than any of the players and picks mentioned.

Would you rather press the reset button with Watson or try to squeeze something out of this group and the QBs available?

This might actually be what would be considered 'fair'. It's one of those deals where you are happy to get the player, but also unhappy with what you had to give up.

BTW, gotta change this thread's title. This is about a Watson trade, so just listing 'David Montgomery' doesn't make much sense.

What do the boomers want?

If you ask @Leomaz he would tell you to take a pass on any and every vet franchise QB cuz it costs to much. Like Ryan Pace has a good track record in the first round anyways LMAO
Dumbass.
I have clearly stated I would be willing to trade draft currency and players for Watson.
Not sure why people would rather lie than tell the truth on this message board.
