Breaking: The Cowboys are expected to release Dez Bryant today, per @AdamSchefter and @toddarcher.

I'm not really in the loop, but if he is being released because of cap, and not personal, this would be a massive pick up for the bears.

As a Cowboys fan, I would not pick him up. He would probably work better with a QB who can play to his strengths(not Dak obviously), but he is also obviously past his prime.

Isn't he still in his 20's?

He's turning 30 this year, predicates his game on athleticism, and has an injury history. I don't foresee Dez putting up 85+ catches, 1300+ yards, 10+ TDs again in a season(which was his prime). Could be wrong, I guess.

Is that the benchmark for whether a guy can help? Do teams already have enough guys getting 900-1200 yards? (I am not calling for the Bears to sign him, mind you. Just wondering about that definition of "no help")

Nope. He's done. He doesn't get separation, and he had the most drops behind Zay Jones I think last year

Saw this one on Twitter:

Cowboys cap hit this upcoming season for Dez and Tony Romo: $ 16.5 million

Eagles are paying Alshon and Carson Wentz $ 11.25 million.

He wasn’t willing to take a pay cut with the Cowboys and we will not pay him 12mil. Not Bears related.

Wow a photo of the two douchiest players in the NFL, both of whom were cut this offseason. Suitable for framing.
