Not true.

After Shoop was fired for running the worst offense in the NFL despite going through a few dozen QBs...Ron Turner came "highly recommended" to replace him by Jerry Angelo. Then once Turner was fired for letting Jay Cutler throw 27 INTs...Angelo handled the interview process for Turner's replacement.
Highly recommended isnt picking the person..Doing the interviews isnt picking the person.....Lovies contract stated that he had the final call..Any OC that Lovie picked was HIS call and no one elses, no matter who recommended them or not

I guess you can still call riding a bike with training wheels on while your pops is holding you upright "riding a bike", but...come on....

Bottom line...Lovie made the final call on every OC the Bears hired...Thats a fact...It was also discussed in the papers ,that was one of the reasons he was fired..He wouldn't give that up

This team was built for running the ball. rivera could come in and make this offense work, just by running the ball maybe 10 times or more, or actually having decent run plays. nagy and his pass 1st offense means, the entire O-line needs to be revamped for pass protection 1st. yes or no? the O-line has struggled seriously this year. why is that? last year wasn't as bad, because we did run the ball more. Howard was the starting RB, not tarik cohen. Bears drafted a RB when we have a powerback in Nall. hardly used, and he was a good RB in college and has been good when used in preseason, but unused when needed. how long do yas think it will take the bears to either, rebuild the O-line or move on from nagy? the offense looks like a high school offense. college performs better. our top ranked defense will also dissolve, way before nagy can fix the teams woes. does our team have some sort of new timeline or philosophy? not win now, but in a few seasons? or win now, not later? which is it?

Greg Roman has the fastest player in the NFL playing perfect football from the QB position. Trubisky could not mimic that kind of offense no matter who is the coach. What I would do though is promote the Ravens O-Line coach to offensive coordinator.

Kaepernick did fine in that system. But...at times Trubisky can't get the RPO right.
