Tijuana footballer Garduño Miguel Angel Perez, gave the news that he was hired for two years by the Chicago Fire of the MLS.

Tomorrow he will be traveling to the United States to report to spring training with the club, which will be in Florida under the command of Mexican coach Carlos de Los Cobos.

He will also be arranging all the paperwork for work visas, as well as finalize all the requirements to have all the papers to enter Canada because there are also the league matches there.

Garduño comes from Egyptian club Zamalek SC, where he spent three months in the top division of this country.

:yep:

Since they said Signed, and there was no question mark, I'd assume so.

Doesn't mean its true though. They're probably just referencing the same articles we've been seeing. The local media in general is pretty clueless about soccer. I wouldn't put too much stock in it until the Fire or MLS make an announcement about it.

I've dug and couldn't find anything, Guillermo says it's bunk and folks inside the Fire think it's bunk too......

yeah, I'm gonna say this was from last year and only got legs since it's just come to the light of day. Only time will tell really.

there are other signings that I thought would have been done already, but they aren't ready yet....
