Should have drafted his Notre Dame teammate who was twice as productive and also at a position of need. Would be great insurance with ARob set to be a FA.

I really believe Jesse James offers more as a receiver.

Was it Lazor or Nagy that discussed after the Lions game the need to invlove the TE's more often? Robert Schmitz noted that his stumble on the deep pass was not as easy as a catch as it looked and once again, Soldier Field turf was an issue.

He was blocking edge rushers one on one last year at times and doing well.

yep least one of the two was a great throw by Fields 20+ yds downfield placed perfectly where only his target could get it. Cole is getting fat shamed on that miss cause he wasn't even tracking the ball thrown to him, was still busy playing patty cake with the defender.

This is what I tire of tho...we drafted him to be an offensive weapon too. We constantly get this effort assuage disappointment for the primary reasons you draft a guy...like, "Well, Leonard Floyd is a worthless pass rusher...but boy can he chase down a RB laterally!"

Exactly. Want Fields to succeed early? Gotta keep Kmet in to block, he offers a lot of value there. A lot of Fields' work is going to be with ARob and Mooney. The oline is weak and needs help. CHI is lucky they have a violent sadist TE to help their porous oline out.

Good luck explaining that to some on this board. Why cant Kmet catch more balls when he is blocking and sealing the edge! Bears attempted--some 21 passing plays on Sunday. Why didnt Kmet have a 100yd game?
